Lots of Ravens fans are posting about the experts picking them to go all the way. Who cares what the experts think? We were picked to finish last in the division, lose to NE the first game, lose to the Jets this last game. Doesn't really matter what anyone says, it's all coming down to the game itself.

The Ravens were picked to finish last in the AFCN (Browns were picked to be first, IIRC :pointlol: ); to lose to the Bengals in the first game and probably lose to the Cowboys who were closing out Texas Stadium.

Experts are experts after the game. They ain't any better than us trying to pick a winner beforehand.

i can assure you the team is not thinking that way. john harbaugh is the ultimate one game at a time, focus on now, no nonsense coach

    Yeah I know the team isn't but I can hope can't I?

Harbaugh came from Philly (I forget what position coach he was) but he'll do a good job in B-More for you guys. I'm right across the river in Dover, BTW, so I might be able to make a Ravens game at some point...

Ignore Sam, he's our "special" poster who only is here because his mommy begged the mods to let him join and be part of a team.

Give it time. He is a Harbaugh, which in any other language means, "flash in the pan." He is winning with Billick's defensive players. Once he starts filtering in his own, the decline will happen. I call it the "Wannstedt Effect."

Why anyone would make fun of their own just to placate a rival teams fan is beyond me. :pity:

Your attempt at humor fell shorter than a Jay Fiedler 10 yard out. :tongue2:

Again, he is winning with a defense built before he was there. Plus, like I said, he is a Harbaugh so he is bound to screw up eventually. Its science.

Furthermore, its a safe bet is it not? Most coaches don't last too long and making a prediction on a sports message board for something that may happen 3 years from now means I am pretty safe from looking foolish.

Unless, of course, someone wants to take the time to find this thread in three years time.

I may if I happen to be right.

Hey, Jay Fiedler was a winner!

I love you though Sam! You were the one who convinced me to get Sirius...and I'm very happy with that decision!

Yeah hindsight has brought me to the realization that Fiedler wasn't that bad.

And Sirius is great. Here's hoping it stays around. :knucks:

You guessed it. The players are going to the forums to find out the outcome. They were thrilled when they were reading balt. forums. But I hear they are now very depressed after reading this thread. Their demise and all. Damn, y'all ruined it. Thanks alot.

Football karma states: Its extremely hard to go into a winning teams home twice and win in the same season. Just like a road game, following a Monday night victory. Just like the Cowboys, trying to beat the Giants for a third time, last season. Some truths are just self-evident. If the turnover margin is +1 in our favor, we will win.

I have been treated a lot better at Jet sites, and that isn't a slam on them at all. I have visited a lot of sites over the year, and this is one I have to change my mind, and cannot recommend.

Going to be a close game.

Ravens struggle to play from behind but bring some hard hitting ball hawks and a smash mouth running game.

Phins rarely turn the ball over and can attack the Birds with short and very accurate passes while eating up the clock just like a running game. Pennington-The guy played in NY, I think he is used to pressure and critics.

Sounds cliche' but I think it will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and wins field postion. Special teams wil play an important part.

I don't think either team is built to recover from turnovers.

OT-Buckeye. Most of my family members are Ohio State fans. My cousin wrestled there.
