Nope. The, Chad would not have performed in NY this year if he had stayed.

The truth is, this was mostly a win win for everyone.

If nothing had happened (no QB switches)

    GB: 10-6 - Playoffs
    NYJ: 8-8 - No playoffs
    MIA: 6-10 - No playoffs

If the Jets would have been smart enough to start him yes. They have been asking Brett Favre to be Chad Pennington anyway. Chad is better at being Chad than Brett is. I don't know how 9-6 with a QB throwing 19 picks is somehow worse if you insert a QB that has only thrown six. They made the playoffs in 2006 with a much worse team and that was mostly because of Chad. They would have it locked up already if he was their QB and Miami would be trying to play spoiler right now. I don't see how you can logically say a team would not be better with better QB play. The numbers don't lie, Chad has been better than Brett in almost every way.

Chad wouldn't have performed at the same level at the Jets. He needed a new place, low expectations and a team willing win.

Reminds me of everyone who thinks we shoulda kept Welker. He wouldn't have done what he did in NE here. (Well this year he might have, but I don't wanna think about that. :()

Exactly. Sometimes, players just need a new scene.

It worked out (mostly) for everyone.

The picks were nice, but it doesn't look so good for Satale now, and the 7th rounder was used for a new Gatorade cooler. :pity:

I'm just glad we have him here. He's a good guy, team player and a winner.
I think we got the best out of the deal.

Satele has performed well the last two games. They didn't sub him at all in the last game.

We replaced Welker with two better WRs. Camarillo and Bess. Better you ask? Yes. They can play on the outside.

He's been hit or miss all year (Satale) but yeah, Bess (And Camarillo prior to his injury) made Welker's absence a non issue.
