I just bought a 12 pack of Yuengling. First beer I've had to buy since I haven't brewed in a while. After hockey =
God you guys can't appreciate the simplicity of having a good beer after not having some for a few months?
The Black and Tan is good I'm getting ready to open a Arrogant Bastard, now that's good stuff. Check it out http://www.arrogantbastard.com/
No it's not. It's even harder to type. I talk like that sometimes, though. And to me ebonics is another language. Words that end in "izzle" are ebonics. 'cuz is so old that white people can now afford to use the word I would spend the next several minutes discussing the finer points of ebonics but I don't think it would do me any good . I prefer to think of it as "relaxed" and not "ebonics".
Yuengling is sorely missed out here on the west coast. You truly cannot understand how much you miss something till you cant get it. Anyone want to ship me some? On my last visit to florida i bought a case - then i vacuum sealed the bottles in an airtight bag and packed them in my suitcase.....
Nope. I'm not gonna send you a case because it wouldn't make it from the store to my house to your house because by the time it got to my house I would be planning to drink it.
Here try this, Rogue (its very good stuff) Beer Me! — Rogue Ales — Newport, Oregon, United States Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is always good! And Lagunitas Brewings IPA is outstanding.
i gotta go against the thread. i do not like yuengling. i think it smells like a piss drenched mens room floor in a dive bar...and tastes like beer, while you're smelling the aroma of a piss drenched mens room floor in a dive bar. perhaps thats an acquired taste...i can appreciate that.
Do they have Taco Mac's where you guys live. These places have like 100+ bears on tap along with about 200 more in bottles, including high gravity's. I like Yuengling, but not as much as like some of these other tasty brews.
There's no taco mac around here. (Delaware). I love all kinds of beer, btw, and do think that Yuengling is not the best. But for a beer that is not a "cheap beer" (natty ice) or an "expensive beer" (Dogfish Head) it does the job pretty well. It's got nice taste and a 12 pack of cans cost 8.99. Not bad if you ask me Also, since it's in cans it gives me a great reason to pour the beer into one of these babies:
i have been wanting to brew but im afraid it will cost too much and it will come out crappy. any suggestions? if you want a truly special brew, i recommend old rasputin imperial stout. oh god
The equipment to get started is where the real cost comes in. The ingredients are not that expensive. $30 will get you 5 gallons worth of beer. And that's extract not all grain. All grain is cheaper.
so i think my wife may of got me the mr.beer brew kit......is it good? i dont care if i could have something better.....its been bought (i think) whats your suggestions for making some good stuff? good enough to drink and get drunk of my own stuff??! i think that would be the coolest thing ever.....anyways....thanks!
Sierra is ok, i'm not much of a fan of the IPA. But lagunitas makes this beer called Brown Suuugha...its very good.
