And what a feeling this is. It's been a long time since we've had this type of excitement and hope. If we fall short, it is still a turn around of epic proportions. Hats of to our Dolphins and the fans. And let's hope the Jests continue to trip over themselves and we get that enormous win next week.
Technically we are right now in first place of the AFC East. Until the Jests finish their game at least. Wow, who would have ever thunk (yes I said thunk) we would be at the top of our division this year.
one more! Today was a great effort! Chad Pennington is hands down our best asset right now. Fasano played great today. Key player of the day imo. the weak link, special teams, improved we practiced in cold weather conditions, for the jets game. we're just too inconsistent.......if we can fix that we're a very solid team. If not, we'll get our asses sweeped in the postseason way to go phins, 1-15.................10-5.
After today's temperature, there should be no excuses for our defense to come out and play poorly next week. It may not be the best of conditions next week, but it almost certainly won't be as cold against the Jets. We need to bring the same aggressive offense and the defense of the previous 3 weeks and we will win the AFC east. I feel confident saying that the defense will want to prove something next week after today's performance. I'm looking creative and efficient offensive play calling and a defense that is crazy. And if our special teams continue to play like they have for the past couple of weeks, we are the AFC east champs. The focus needs to be to get pressure on Favre because I think he will be pressing next week to make something happen for the Jets and being the over-rated, interception machine that he is, we should get some turn overs and we'll have to capitalize. I like our chances next week. I have to admit, I shed a tear or two today after this win. Hopefully next week, I'll be crying like a baby.
PS. All the criticisms go down the drain if we win the division. That poor game against AZ? Who cares? Man this is a good spot for us to be in right now. Jests losing 10-3 unless they scored while I wasn't looking...
you're right scall we have to bring the agressiveness on both sides of the ball. We're a are a very hard team to beat if we can play to our strenghts both on defense and offense. You pointed very well what we need to do. Pressure and pressure Favre. I think we're gonna have a shootout next week, though I hope I'm wrong and our defense can hold them.
