    Of course you neglect to mention that the Fins lost both their starting and backup QBs to injury that year. Wonder how the Jets would have done if Favre and his backup had gone down this season?

    I live just a few hours North of K.C. and believe me - it's cold. We're about to get a SEVERE blizzard here in the midwest tomorrow (Saturday) around noon-ish time. I hope it's not the deciding factor in the game in a negative way for us. Come awwwn Fins.

    Well you should know that he has a very good record in December months. His Td, Int ratio is even but he has a good Rb tandem this time around.

    The Jetsons have gotten blown out of the playoffs plenty of times.

    Well...considering they've only been in the playoffs like 19 times... Winning 8 games is nothing to hold yer hat on.

    And who was behind Center during that collapse for the Dolphins???

    Scott Mitchell. Marino never lets that happen. But that's an argument for another day

    Actually between the Jets bustin out the mojo to shake that pesky West Coast monkey, last seen clinging to their backs when they got off the plane, and the Dolphins spending this weekend in adventure filled Siberia, it might be in everyone's best interests to consider our other division opponent.

    You know, the team who's usually still competing this week, whether or not any of us are?

    Sly buggers, always quiet as cockroaches this time every year, sneakin around, positioning themselves for a move, always conspiring...and hosting this week.

    Latest weather report (from Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground)

    Anyone know what the record cold game for the Dolphins is ? This looks like it could rival that one. This is not going to be fun.

    This is a game we need to run the ball. Good tune up for postseason play. If we can run the ball we are a very solid team and can beat anyone. If we win out and make the playoffs, to continue to advance we will have to travel and play in the cold.

    Wow, if you take Herms record against the Fins from 2005...

    He is 2-2...not very scary IMO...

    Herms record while his career with the Chielfs??? Last 2 1/2 years...

    06= 9-7...
    07= 4-12...
    08= 2-12...

    Yeah we can see that KC has taken what the Herm inspired Jets did to tasks...

    Naw GM, it is what you are afraid of this weekend... a win for the FIns...

    It's gonna suck to be a Jet's fan and have Chad Pennington come into your house on the last game of the year and take the AFC East away from you. Look for Favre to announce his retirement in the post game locker room interview.....folllowed by a retraction a couple months later about how he still feels he can play the game. The Jets will then be in talks with Vinny Testeverde to bring him back for one more season. :lol:

    14 degrees in New England on December 11th, 1977.

    It should be colder than that tomorrow in KC.

    I think the cold weather is awesome, it will get the team ready mentally for the cold in NY. If that was the first cold game it would make more of a difference.
    It aint going to be a summer BBQ in Seattle tommorow either, there are blizzard warnings for the Cascades so it will be windy AND snowing in Seattle.
