    Spoiler tags!!! :tantrum:

It didn't even come close to the original magic of Raiders and it's lesser sequels. I almost wish that movie stayed a rumor.

I watched the movie The Holiday with my wife. It is a very good movie with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black. We saw it when it came out in 2006. Good Christmas movie, plus I scored some bonus points.

Hancock- Thought it was okay borderline bad. Shouldn't have tried to be serious

The Dark Knight- Have watched 3 times since Tuesday. Nuff said

Horton Hears a Who- Good movie

    Wall-E - Fantastic movie

Wanted- Not what I expected but entertaining.

Step Brothers- Had funny parts and was Ferrells best movie in a while.

Tropic Thunder- Was disappointed thought it was going to be hilarious. RDJ killed it thought.

Leatherheads -- great old-fashioned screwball comedy. Real feel-good entertainment.

    X-Files: I Want to Believe -- tiresome.

Day the Earth Stood Still - disappointing. Just never did anything to make me feel like I should care, or had any stake in the film. Watch the trailer and you get everything you're going to get out of it. 5.5/10 sounds about right to me.

The Dark Knight - For the like the 10th time. Still goin to win the Oscar for best movie ever.

Casino Royal - I liked it. Best Bond move i have seen. Well it is the only Bond movie i have seen.

Mirrors - Surprising better then i thought it would be. Loved the Amy Smart bath scene. Also i loved the ending.

Day the Earth stood still 2 out of 5.

Wow this movie was a huge let down. I like the first half hour but the rest was crap especially Will Smiths kid I couldn't stand him in this film. Keanu Reeves did great IMO.

X-Files I want to believe-2 out of 5 this movie was a glorified X-Files episode and it sucked.

I'm wondering ... are you joking? No offense, just asking ...

By the way, I finally caught The Dark Knight. Pretty mediocre movie, unbelievable Ledger. Understand all the fuss about Ledger deserving an Academy Award, really don't get the fuss about the movie itself.

Loved the story from the Books of Blood, loved the movie, too. Classic Barker at his sickest.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button 8/10

Hard to believe this is the team that made Se7en and Fight Club, but David Fincher and Brad Pitt re-team for a much lighter story here, and pull it off.

I liked how matter of fact the characters react to learning that Benjamin is aging backwards. In fact I like how the film specifically skipped those conversations altogether. If you were in any way intrigued by the trailers, you'll like the movie. I've seen it compared to Forrest Gump and Big Fish, which I think is pretty accurate.

The Day the Earth Stood Still....

 I didn't think it was that good. Reaves was way too stiff and the story was, just < YAWN > worthy.

saw Yes Man last night. Yea its basically Bruce Almightey/Liar Liar all over again. It has its funny moments sure, but I guess I grew tired of Jim Carrey back in the Pet Detective days. I only saw it because my wife wouldn't go see Valkyrie or the Spirit with me, and there was no way in hell I was going to go with her to watch Twilight.....we compromised.

Okay, thanks. Reason I was asking is that I was recently chatting with an American guy at a pub I frequent and we got talking about movies and eventually about Valkyrie and suddenly he goes ... how does that movie end? Dead serious, mind you. So I figured, maybe that's not too common a knowledge in the US ...

I read the story any idea how much it sticks to the original? From the preview it looks pretty different, like some of the themes are lost in translation so to speak.....

The impression I've gathered, since I never read the original story, is that the movie expands a lot on what was considered a rather skimpy sketch of an original story by Fitzgerald. And therefore makes many changes to the original tale. This is less an adaptation than it is an homage to the original story.

Lucky, in the word homage, the h is silent.

is this out on dvd yet?

pineapple express 6/10..the last 20 minutes ruined the movie for me.(couldve been so much better but turned out like a bad jay and silent bob movie).

eagle eye 8/10..i'm a shia fan so seeing him try to carry a movie was cool.

indi jones -1/10..couldn't tell if i was watching the 2nd,or 3rd..why did they make shia look like the fonz's kid brother? horrible, horrible movie for me.

wall-e..? theres alot of people saying this was a brilliant, excellent movie and am starting to believe they were all being sarcastic. i didn't rate this movie because i cut it off about 20 minutes in..very slow, silent(other than computer noises: note: i didn't watch it all)movie i didn't see coming from pixarr.
