...by selecting one guy already playing who would it be?

Just to lighten the mood around here cos there seems to be a lot of *****ing and fighting going on over nothing lately.

So go for it, one player who you think could turn this team around (and please no "nobody could turn this team around") quicker than anybody else.

I'm going to go for Peyton Manning, even with the season Brady is having I think Manning would have more success on this team, mainly because of his ability to screw with the defense. Manning deep to Ginn, music to my ears.

It HAS to be a QB so really could only be Manning or Brady and Id take Manning.

I would have to say Tom Brady without a doubt. He just looks so confident back there that nothing seams to rattle him. His accuracy is just sick under pressure. He has total control when he is out there.

Hey I realize the thread is just for some time-killing conversation, but.....
Anyway, I'll give it a go. I'm sorry but as tempting as it is to say Mannning or Brady, etc, the truth is, neither of those guys are going to look all that great without some time to distribute the football. So I've got to go with either Walter Jones as 1st choice, or maybe Steve Hutchinson as 2nd choice.

Obviously Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. You really can't argue against it.

If age is considered, then Roethlisberger should get a few votes.

Drew Brees. I don't know how he dragged that New Orleans team to 7 wins, but he managed it. Plus he's a good guy in the community.

Funny because I was thinking about if Miami ever got or had a chance to get Brady. I couldn't be for him, ever. Sorry. I would be cheering for the opposing teams to break his legs (still). I've just seen him play to bad against us time and time again and still get treated like he is flawless by the media.

Carson Palmer. Manning and Brady are getting a little old.

Along with the other people posting in this forum, its almost either Manning or Brady. We all know this team has needed a real QB for 8 years now. (has it really beenthat long??)

I wonder how many games we would have won this season if we did have either of them??

ATM if we had the pieces to complement them, Brady or Manning, doesnt matter which. If we are just adding one player to our current team, it would be Big Ben Roethlisburger. Hes arguably the third best QB in the leage and is young to boot. The only other players id think of taking would be an awesome OL. Maybe Joe Thomas? Good talent and young.
Defensively, just for fun. Hmm tough call between 3 guys-Bob Sanders, Mario Williams or Pat Willis.

    I would argue that.

He gets sacked too much and throws too many interceptions. Without Willie Parker, he was exposed.

I have the same opinion about roethlisberger as you do. Getting multiply sacked is not his fault but the turnovers are. He had four turnovers against the jaguars.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the two choices. This is tough to say but i'll go with Brady who if the Pats win has the title of "Best Qb Ever."

I'm sure he does, but he's stuck here until 2014.

My player would be Manning but others have mentioned him, so I'll go with a wildcard here and say Vince Wilfork - underrated, underappreciated, anchoring the D on the best team in football, even if it may not be the #1 overall D.

If we get to go back in time, i go with Marino from before the 1984 season. Since I don't think that was the point, I'll separate from the pack and take Tony Romo because of his youth and he is already in the system. We get Jessica Simpson for free that way, too:bighug::thumbup:
