great half!!! defense stood when they needed to

 

Not a bad half...though we should have three TDs or at least a FG to go with the two TDs.

 

If we keep playing defense like this I'm thinking even more draft offense in the 1st rd.

 

it would only be for these last 3 games though. with thomas and smiley coming back healthy next yr i don't see satele outplaying either 2 for a starting g spot. satele at gaurd today is a quick fix in my opinion due to the other gaurds not having enough reps for this game in particular.

I would like to see Ronnie play to his strength and run guys over instead of try and juke them.

well were up 14-3 at halftime. thats good.

what isnt is how we're getting dominated in time of possession. Our D is going to be worn out if our offense can't wear down the clock some and give them a break. however with us not running the ball at all, thats going to be tough to do...

its halftime, and ronnie brown only has 3 carries, for 16 yards.. Ricky only has 2 for 3 yards... and polite has 1 for 3 yards...

Defense needs some time to rest, but i think i covered that.

good news is we get the ball to start the 2nd half. It would be incredibly nice to see a long, sustained, clock eating drive that gets us 7 more points to start the second half..

 

I think you could be right about that m ino, I love Samson, but the bottom line is, he was iffy this year, we have 2 1/2 games to go, if Samson needs to move to Guard, then I'm fine with it.

If this sticks, we will be in the market for a Center this offseason...and I thought Samson would be the guy for years...

i hope i'm not right though like you i was pretty happy with his play as a rookie last yr but we really need a actual center in there and samsons play has taken a sophmore slump. he should make a great back-up that can play multiple positions for next yr though so while i don't neccisarily want him at a starting spot for next yr i don't really want to get rid of him either.

We need a loooong, time consuming drive here...defense was on the field for 20 minutes...not often can you lose TOP battle and win game...20 minutes to 10 minutes is shocking

 

I just don't believe we can write Samson off yet m_ino, he is too athletic to just dump and not play, we can bring in a couple of Centers, but head to head, no way a healthy Samson Satele should lose his job to Al Johnson..

Not our fault that we scored 2 TDs in less than 4 mins. But I do agree we need to get off the field on 3rd downs or those long drives will start ending up in TDs for the 9ers

 

Normally I'd agree, but it was a "soft" twenty minutes, they didn't hammer us with the run, it was more like pass pass pass and then come up with a first down.

 

I know we are up by 2 scores, but that concerns me big time.
