Gholston's either dropped in coverage or they're going to the other side of the field. He read that option play great but whover the LSU Wr was had a GREAT block on the corner to that side.

Gholston seems like he is in the backfield every play. Guy is a monster.

He reminds me more of Matt Roth than anyone else.

Gholston is the kid who I envision putting up Pro Bowl caliber seasons.

Honestly Gholston hasnt impressed me much thus far. I really liked the stop by Laranaitus though on the goal line...Hester was real lucky he fell within the line...James was RIGHT THERE though. I really see this guy making a big impact in the NFL - year one even. Not willis-style but perhaps Vilma style/

Chris Long is much better than what Matt Roth was when he came out. Unlike Roth, Chris Long has very long arms which gives him the advantage when attempting to gain leverage. Long has better athletism and is much better at shedding blocks, he also gets to the QB quicker.

I get the feeling you said that because of his skin color, like most people compared Wes Welker to Brandon Stokely when he was more like Troy Brown. Not calling you prejudiced or anything but people do make comparisons to players that are of the ethnicity.

lol Dorsey had a bad first quarter . . . but he WOKE up in the second quarter and was causing all kind of damage. Biggest thing to me is that leadership that he shows and the enthusiasm . . . I really want this kid on this team now, I hope he has a big second half.

Gholston is a freak also, if we do stick w/ a 3-4, u have to consider him also.

You want a leader like I said before Chris Long is your guy. He wasn't the leader of Virginia's defense, HE WAS the defense.

I'd be happy with either Gholston or Long.

id be happy with either three honestly. i dont think you can go wrong with either pick. The only question remains is which player of the three will have a bigger immediate impact on this team? Does chris long come in and cause hell to all LT's or RT's? Does Gholston cause trouble/confusion to offensive lines and quarterbacks by him standing up or down on the line ? Or does Dorsey blow up centers/guards and have kevin williams type domination.

Emotion only gets you so far. LSU was clearly the more talented team. Once the adrenaline leveled out, LSU dominated.

I absolutely hate one sided games. Wheres the fun in that? Once again goes to show you that the BCS is flawed.

The game was much more lopsided that the final score would suggest.

The Sec is stronger, faster, smarter, and better than any other conference out there.

I disagree. The SEC was the best conference when Dixon got hurt. Still the best conference none the less. The game was turned on the roughing the punter call. LSU was the better team but I think other conferences are coming up on the SEC.

The Big 12 came back with Kansas and Mizzou playing strong. Oklahoma didn't show up but neither did FLA. The system sucks and of any the bowl games that I thought was a travesty it was Illinois vs USC and not UGA vs USC.

So what's the final verdict on Dorsey? The announcers mentioned that they haven't called his name often but that didn't mean he wasn't having a good game, occupying defenders opening up gaps for people around him etc.

I disagree that conferences are coming up to the SEC....top to bottom it is till the best conference in the country. There are teams that will be good periodically but when you look at reputation which voters do OSU and Meat Chicken generally should be in the NC game every year vesus USC ...... periodically an Illinois, Wisconsin or Illini will have a good team...not NC caliber but good. There will be some good maybe great teams out there but the difference between 1 and 2 and top to bottom in most all other conferences is much wider that in the SEC....

Teams go up and down and you get a periodic Rutgers, Kansas, Kentucky or Mizzou but over the long haul it is the same player IMHO and the SEC still dominates the top. Arguing who is the best team every year is a lot better argument than saying the SEC is not the best conference...which I realize you are not doing.

Based on 25 years ...and teams will go up and down periodically, and some of these are currently down...Notre Dumb, Miami and Nebraska mainly ... I would wager that these teams make up the top 20, 80% of the time:

    USC
    UCLA
    Oklahoma
    Texas
    Nebraska
    Ohio State
    Michigan
    Notre Dumb
    Penn State
    Miami
    Florida State
    Virginia Tech
    Clemson
    Florida
    Georgia
    Tennessee
    Alabama
    Auburn
    LSU
    Arkansas
