Carpenter has been pretty money on FGs, however, he doesnt seem to have a strong enough leg to boot it into the endzone for a touchback to negate return yards. Do you think this is something we should consider? Do you think Carpenter could improve his leg strength?
I would like to see if Fields can manage the kickoffs, I think he has a stronger leg than carpenter. It might be worth a shot. I dont think we can bring in a kickoff specialist. I dont think we have the luxury of being able to occupy 3 spots on our 53 man roster for kickers. we need that extra roster spot in other areas
Did Carpenter call that onside kick by himself in the 4th....I was at a sport's bar and looking at my buddy who is also a Phin fan and saying WTF???? Looks like Soprano gave him a chewing out after this.
..I felt bad for the Rook...he has been money all year...after that botched kickoff...and then coach yelled at him he went out missed his last FG try...hope that Dan doesn't lose his confidence...
I don't see it either in any way shape or form with this FO crew. I don't agree with doing it either. That extra spot can be a valuable spot with ST's players or a big body backup for the OL or DL. If they don't think Carpenter cuts the mustard he'll be gone in a flash this offseason. Parcells dosen't waste time with Kickers.
