I saw the play as Ted Ginn avoiding contact. He tried to one-hand grab but if he tried for the ball it would have been caught. IMO he tried to protect himself from the hit. I understand that if Ginn risked himself and got hurt, it wouldn't be worth it. But that doesn't mean avoiding contact is the manliest thing to do.

Here's the problem with that point of view; Ginn exposed his upper body by stretching out and got cracked on the play.

If he wanted to avoid contact he would have not put his hand up to break up the throw.

 

I dont know man, that pass looked uncatachable to me. Plus I don't want a rather thin frammed Ginn to go around looking for contact on every play. Sure we want him to take some contact now and then but I'd much rather see him get what he can and sometimes avoid contact imo
