The small bit of good news is that last year it was a shoulder injury (not sure if it's the same one he was playing thru this year). Would be worse if it were a knee or something like that.

Today's extremely good circumstances (our win, and Jets, Pats and Bills lose) has come at a very high price. :pity:

Our offense will suffer, but they will just have to overcome.
Next week if we win, it will mean we are assured of a non-losing season, the 1st since 2005 ! WOOT ! :hi5:

You can guarantee when Ozzy posts something like that he has made an educated statement. So personally I book it when I read something he writes.

The run offense has worried me recently anyway and the left side of the line was my bright spot that I looked to on the offensive line and with Satele not lifting his game this season as I had hoped the whole center of the line causes my stomach to get a little queasy.

    :pity:

I had forgotten all about his injury too. This really sucks. Two important players on our offense done for the year and maybe longer in 2 consecutive weeks.

I think this loss will be bigger than Camarillo's. He was our leader on that line and now someone else HAS to step up.

wow, Donald Thomas and Smiley finish the season on the IR and Jake has a bum ankle..

So now it looks like our Oline will be:

Vern Carey, Al Johnson (!)/Alleman, Samson Satele, Ndukwe, Jake Long?

And we also will need a back up to replace Johnson?

Four games to go, we have a new Oline more or less, and Samson is not having a great year...

Thank you very much. I try to never jump to conclusions and especially when it comes to injuries. I posted exactly what Jim Mandich said on the air but I said apparent torn ligaments even though Mandich said they were torn. They can sometimes tell by feeling the knee but nothing could be FOR SURE until they give an MRI.

I did not expect the papers to come out with the news so fast and thats why I made this post.

    A svelte 240ish Ozzy...I run a 6.9 40 yd dash...downhill..with a tailwind..

So we have two "new" guards, 4 games to go, and Big Jake is on a bum wheel?

    Sounds great...

Seriously though, I wonder what sort of condition Al Johnson is in? Being out of the NFL since October, I can't imagine he is in game condition yet at least Alleman and Ndukwe have been playing for weeks now.

So has anything been confirmed as to whether it's just a fractured leg or ligament damage?

Don't think so and I won't expect to. As far as we know it is only a broken leg.

I hope he comes back stronger then ever next year. What sucks is we have been relatively free of injuries until someone wrote an article about it. Now we have been bitten every week.

Nothing yet, but it was confirmed in all the papers that he would be getting an MRI to check them.
