Please, please, please no more rookie head coaches.

Let's stop looking for the next big thing and go with a guy that has winning records as a HEAD COACH. It's one thing to manage DBs. But an entire team, that takes a special type of coach. It's why so many fail and only a few succeed.

    Proven coaches who are available:
    Cowher
    Schottenheimer
    Parcells

Those are 3 big time coaches who weren't available to us when Cam came on, because of retirement and Schotty hadn't been released yet. They're proven, and they're great.

    Let's not settle for less.

hey i got a good candidate. CAM CAMERON. you guys need to give him a break. this is his first year as head coach. he has made a few questionable call, but considering the shape what saban left this team with and our aging d, and ALL the injuries that has happen this year. we have only 5 or 6 starters that started the season. our best players are on IR. even the patroits would look bad if their #1 QB, #1 RB (was on pace for pro bowl), #1 WR (traded), #2/#3 RB, #1/#2 S, #1 MLB. plus Channing (LB)and porter (LB) are playing injured and we have no depth anywhere not that alot of our backups are hurt.

This is why no one wants Cam around anymore. Saban didn't leave Cam in that big of a mess...

what... name one guy that saban drafted or brought in that plays at a high level...... c-pep(not for miami; gave up 2nd rd), harrington(yep gone;5th rounder given up), Jason Allen (16 pick overall and cant find a secondary position that he is good at. ummmm....lets see, Derek Hagan (r u kidding me), Joe toledo(Mr. IR)...let our defense get old....man saban should get a medal of honor for how good he left this team in. i would have rather taken cromartie (SD CB) or holmes PIT WR) over jason allen.

Well, the only thing I beg to differ about is Jason Allen. In the 6 games he has started he has 39 tackles (4 assisted), 2 ints, 1FF. now he won't go the pro bowl or anything, but it seems as though JA is a gamer. And possibly the worst practice player in NFL history.

Oh yeah there is this other guy..................um Ronnie Brown.

Other than those two you are right, nothing he did has improved us that much. But, currently I do thank him for Ronnie Brown, Rodrique Wright, and Jason Allen.

'Cause without those guys, we'd really be bad..........wait never mind, but you get the point - at least we got something out of it.

Im sorry, but it is not our fault Cam has sucked so bad. Whinsehunt and Tomlin have done good jobs this year. Look at what Sean Payton did last year, and did anyone notice what Lovie Smith did with the Bears. What we need is a coach that can coach. We have had the worst luck ever since JJ took over and he was not a rookie, I blame him for why the Dolphins are so bad. He ran Marino out of Town, recomended WanStache and no offense, but I hate his living guts.

Channing is alright, Daniels is not a bad nickle or dime CB, but he missed big time with Roth, Vickerson and Aromashadu

    Yup.

Although Channing has to be covered by skill.

You can't compare them. Tomlin was put in an amazing situation... Whisenhunt's offense has been in tact, but his D isn't very good. I think the Cards are in a much better situation than the Dolphins.

Saban did a ton of good things. He did not set us back much. The one move that bit him in the *** was Culpepper, he was never Saban's guy. Other than that, I think with a healthy QB, like Gus, we may have had a chance at a 9-7 or 10-6 season, and still in search for a QB to groom.

Joey and Daunte were just horrible.

If he had followed his gut and picked Brees, I think we'd all be in a lot better position.

    I like the Singletary idea

I would prefer Schotty or Cowher, but I highly doubt that they would want to take this turd over. the thing in our favour is that there will be few HC vacancies this offseason

I still don´t think Wayne would jump at Parcells or Cowher, not after Jimmy Johnson was on a semi retirement trip here for his stay. He wants a younger, hungrier coach. John Fox certainly fits that mold, and he has a solid resume.

But if I owned a winless football team, I might be tempted to go on a tilt and gamble a bit, steal Jason Garrett back from the Cowboys or take a hard look at Singletary. One obviously has the great football mind, the other is a born leader that can inspire. Both are something Cam isn´t.

I would love for him to be signed as the new DC. Then if he does a great job and our HC has done a great job he can leave for his shot at HC. If he does well and our HC does not...he can take the reigns.

I just don't see it happening...:(

Sorry don't know much on your guy. I guess it was high-jacked from the 85 Bears connection...Da Bears.

Nice post and the guy looks like someone that will get his shot. But just like Mike...not from the Tuna Tree. So, it is hard to see them getting the gig.

Even though he stunk it up, i still think Cam should have been given one more year, but since he's gone, my favorite candidate for HC is Bill Cowher. I don't know how the relationship would be between the two Bill's, but he is definitely one of, if not the best candidate out there imho.

the high-jacking got me to thinking

why hasn't Singletary been signed by the Falcons already?, he was Blanks' choice last year

looks like Singletary is a candidate for nobody(perhaps he needs more seasoning?)
