I say good luck to a good man that got in over his head. I agree with desides, he got into a situation that, imo, no one could straighten out. I haven't seen a coach since Shula that had the team headed in the right direction. All we've had are liars, quitters and coaches that just didn't seem to care, one way or the other.

Go ahead and bash me, but remember this is my opion and I'm sticking to it. LOL

To many people blamed Cam and not the people that deserved it the most , the players.
Interestingly enough , I see a lot of people saying that Cam is a good Offensive coordinator, the same people that said his play calling sucked. So , isn't that a coordinators job? To call plays?

I couldn't tell if Cam would have made a good or bad HC off of one year. Its ok , I have moved on and now I am waiting on the other shoe to drop. Hopfully we get players more interested in tackleing , blocking , catching , and running than in talking to the media this time.

I think we made a mistake of totally firing Cam. I think we should have kept him as OC. When all of our starters were in, our offense was awsome. Ronnie Brown was the NFL's best back at the time and look how he utilized booker out of the backfield.

That would be because he sucked. He sucked at Drafting, he sucked with players, he sucked with game management. I'm rather certain there are a handful of other things h sucked at but I'm guessing you get the point.

    Brilliant refutation. :001_rolleyes:

He sucked so badly at drafting that practically the entire draft class made the roster and contributed in some meaningful way. He sucked so badly at game management and planning that Hudson Houck favorably compared Cameron's planning with those of the Super Bowl teams he coached on.

I'm curious to know what else you think he sucked at, because the facts disagree with you.

Just because the guys he drafted played a meaningful role on a 1-15 team doesn't really mean a lot in my book. Were they better than the players they replaced on a 6-10 team?

The true test will be to see how many of them make the squad next year and have meaningful contributions.

Am Hopping that Cam gets hired with Marty to maybe Atlanta. This will help Bill trade John Beck to Atlanta and we Draft Matt Ryan first. in addition we will have a second round Draft choice for John beck.

1-15 is not acceptable Under any conditions. Especially since Cam and Randy told Wayne that 07 was a playoff team.

Maybe Cam could have turned it around next year but I for one am glad that Wayne went with the Sure thing ...........Parcells!

Yes. Get past the win-loss record for six seconds and you'll see it. You can go down the list and you can see that every individual position and player that Cameron had direct involvement with generally improved both compared to last year and as the season progressed.

Parcells is not a sure thing. He wasn't a sure thing for the Patriots, Jets, or Cowboys, and that was as a head coach: he's now in a totally different role, one in which there are questions about.

If you expect Parcells to be a roaring success in this job you're setting yourself up for possible disappointment.

Incorrect. Wayne was told that if the defense held its 2006 form, then the team would have a shot to compete for a playoff spot depending on how the offense came along. That is as far from a guarantee of a playoff spot as it gets.

That's an unfair statement because they'll likely run different systems. Most players aren't useful in every system.

Parcells isn't the "Sure" thing until the Miami Dolphins are a winning team within 2-3 years. If he goes 3-13 next year, you know everyone will be calling for his head.

Not rational fans. This franchise was in decline to begin with and Cameron and Mueller gave the death blow to it. It will take time to rebuild but now we have guys who know what they're doing.

Whatever! I got alot more confidence in Parcells in any capacity than I had in Cam. I mean when you can move the Jets from 1-15 TO 9-7 in one year.

Besides he is pretty much bringing everybody that is responsable for the Cowboys rebuilding job they underwent for the last 5 years.

Bottom line is that the Parcells regime is a complete upgrade over CAM/RANDY
