I wanted to get everyone else's input. I have my pick already, and I have to say the Patriots of the present. The Jets were mine in the past. I just wanted to do a poll, to see where the percentages are. You only get one choice on the poll.

    Mine are:

    Pats
    Jets
    Bills

    I think it changes.

For me it's whoever that is doing better than us (if anyone). I mean much better. We were in a dogfight with NE so for me it's NY. I hated the Pats last year for tops of the list.

It's the Jets. It will always be the Jets. And if it is not the Jets for you, you should be purchasing your next ticket to the next Jets/Dolphins matchup in Miami. Then you will be reminded why you hate the Jets the most too.

    How about Pats/Dolphins?

    Bills/Dolphins?

    I'm curious.....

Not any of the division opponents. I rated from a fans perspective that doesn't go to a lot of home games, let alone division games. The Pats game just rubbed me the wrong way yesterday, as has the past few years. So my perspective will be different from fans that go to the games all the time.

been to 2 pats/dolphin games and no jets games

i say the pats. for the last 7 years they have been beating us and they have Bellichek who was caught cheating versus us in 2002

the pats fans yesterday were a bunch of a-holes even when we were in the game. They went around our stadium as if it was theres

yes i hate the jets too but what have the jets ever done. they have never been a great team and they will not even make the AFC championship game this year

Yeppers.....That's why I was curious. Attending any one of those games gives you a new perspective. I know you have been around long enough to hear all of the war stories but I'll take this moment to tell any newcomers that it's a totally different atmosphere at a Jets/Dolphins game. I took my kids but I don't advise taking kids to that game if they prefer a at least a PG rated atmosphere. It gets ugly. I think I can still count on two hands how many games I have attended in Miami.

I have hated the Jets since forever, the Patriots since the snowplow, and the Bills since back to back Marino playoff elimination. I don't like any of the teams. When asked to rate my hatred (rivalry) I look to the fans. The Jets fan in Miami is nothing more than an angry, displaced loser that has spent more time wishing for Dolphins losses than wins for their own team. They do so because they and their team have a history of being losers. I can say at the very least the other two parties have more self worth than that.

I picked Jets, that Monday night game still gives me nightmares to think about. And we at least beat the Pats once in awhile. I hardly ever remember us beating the Jets.

I said all three. There really are reasons I feel strongly about all of them. Plus, Miami is crawling out of the cellar right now so every divisional game is very relevant.

In the 90s we used to beat them all the time. I'm not sure what happened around 98/99 or so. I still remember the fake spike game pretty well. Dan used to break the Jets hearts all the time like that.

it's still the Jets for me. Living in Jets country is probably what puts it over the top. Having to walk amongst their arrogant and disrespectful fans on a daily basis really gets to me. And I will never get the bad taste of that Monday night game from 2000 out of my mouth. Not to mention, I used to love Favre and now seeing him in a Jet uniform makes me sick.

But, the Pats are not far behind.

Honestly, even though they are all about the same, its still the Bills after 20 years for me.

They were the team that I hated the most back then and even though the Pats and the stupid Jets are up there, the Bills will always carry the mantra of most hated by me...

    1990 AFC Divisional Playoff game...grrrr
    1992 AFC Championship game....dammit man

Look at it this way, I hate the fans of the Jets more than the team itself.

For whatever reason, even after that like 8-0 or whatever win streak, I just never really grew to hate them that bad...

    Now the Bills...

Oh yeah, Marv Levy and Jim Kelly can both lick the sweat off a monkeys (bleep).

Not sure about that. I don't live too far away from either stadium and go to the Meadowlands and Foxboro all the time.

I lived in Boston before the Parcells era and I saw more Giants, Cowboys, and 49ers fans in the region.

I don't know, I never really had anything against New York the city. I love the Giants for 18-1. I like the Yankees only because Boston hates them. In fact I've lived in both New York and Boston. I can't stand anything Boston. The Red Sox, the Bruins, and especially the Celtics. I hate the accent. I hate how they lose their HOF QB and a backup who didn't start since HS throws for 400 on us. I hate Bob Kraft and that stupid 16-0 banner.I hate The Emperor and that stupid hoody. I hate "Red Sox Nation". Oh you're a "Nation" now, huh? If Sam Adams was the last remaining beer in the world I would not drink it. The Jets? Meh, they haven't won anything. The Patriots have won more rings in this decade than we have in our lifetime. I cheer for any Hurricane playing in the NFL, so long as they don't play for the Boston Patriots. Wilfork is dead to me as a Hurricane. Most of all, I hate Boston fans. NFL history for them started in 2001 and for some reason they feel they are entitled to break my balls because I follow the Dolphins. I couldn't root for a Boston team if they were playing the Russians. Patriots by a mile for me

Maybe you quoted the wrong thing but that statement was more about the atmosphere at Dolphins stadium more than anything.....

IMO, there is only one nation and it is "Raider Nation". That "nation" monicker has been stolen from a fan of the Jim Rome radio show. Before tuning into that show somewhere around 2001, I had never heard the phrase used by anyone at any time. Back then Rome said more than once that the guy should receive payment from every fan for patent infringement for attempting to use it for their team.

Has to be J*ts, Patriots and then Bills. All though Patriots are swiftly closing the gap as I consider them classless both on the field and the majority of their fans.

Plus, ten years ago they couldn't fill a glass of water from a running tap now they have a 3/4 built stadium full with so many bandwagon fans its sickening! (It's a gap Bob.. with a broken windmill - call the builders back it don't fit!)

    Rant over.

It will always be the Jests in my mind I hate the worst, then the Pasties and then the Jills. After that its the Cowgirls, Raiders and then Redskins.

Its been Jets Bills than Patsies. But the Patsies have leapfrogged the Bills, and have essentially done the same to the Jets but for me hating the jets so much. But after this past game, they may have leapfrogged them for now.

    They're all hated though.

One of the games that was on the tapes that the NFL came out with was the Miami game. I think it was 2002 but I'm not sure. All I know is Miami was one of the 4 teams that the Pats cheated against that the NFL mentioned

Even though the Jets have gotten the better of as of late, we have had so many great games against them over the years. We pretty much owned the Bills the entire 70's, and they did not really beat us until the Jim Kelly years....the Pats also did not give us too much competition most of the 70's, 80's, and 90's....so I would still say the Jets.

I gotta go with the Pats. I live in NH, so, there's all the stupid bandwagon Pats fans. I go to church on Sunday, after the Pats beat us, and I've got people who have NEVER said a word to me about football, coming up to me and busting me on the loss. I was like, "WAIT. WHERE WERE YOU GUYS FOR THE PAST MONTH WHEN WE'VE BEEN BEATING EVERYBODY?? Where were you five games ago when we PLASTERED the PATS?" Then they would just shut up, and walk away.

    LOL

I HATE the Pats more than any other team in the East. If I could wipe ONE team off the face of the NFL, it would be the Patriots.

I hate the Patriots right now more than any team in the league. But I usually hate the best teams in their time. I even rooted for the Patriots against the Rams in the Super Bowl because I despised all the "greatest show on turf" hype and Kurt Warner nonsense. But they are also such a classless organization that you can't help but just hate everything about them. But perhaps when Belicheat and most of the Super Bowl players are gone, and they revert to the perennial losers they were for the first 20 years I followed football, I won't despise them as much.

The Bills dominated the Dolphins, and the AFC East during my formative NFL years. So I'll always despise them and their front running fans. But Marino vs. Kelly was always a fun battle. Those matchups from the early 90's are still the ones that excite me the most when thinking of division rivals. And Marv Levy was absolutely the classiest coach of any of our division rivals. And like the Patriots, when they are bad I really don't have the same passion to dislike them.

That leaves the Jets. God I hate this team. Not as much as I hate the Patriots right now, but give it time they'll remerge. For most of the 80's and 90's they split their games. And they've always been a thorn in the Dolphins' side when the Dolphins were battling with one of the other two teams for the top of the East. The Jets are a big rival regarldless of where each team is in the division.

Living here in New York doesn't make it any easier. The Jet fan, like the Met fan is the bratty little punk who refused to root for their dad's team the Giants or the Yankees. In this very accurate sense, being a Jet fan is constantly reliving teenage angst. Every Jet victory is a moment for them to savor what they didn't have the balls to do when they were pimply faced little twerps. I'm not even kidding. Giants fans here in New York are so much more respectful and mature than Jets fans. Giants fans are the adults. I remember John Madden remarking that Giants fans were the "smartest fans in the league." This always struck me considering that Jets fans all come from the same areas of New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island and they play in the same stadium. Shouldn't Madden have said "New York" fans are the smartest? Not if he ever met a Jet fan.

Im very biased in this because i live in bills country. I dont quite think that we hate them the way they hate us. I just get the feeling from a lot of bills fans here that just think the dolphins are a joke, which makes me hate them even more. I guess i hate bills fans more than i actually hate their team but either way i hate em both.
