That really stinks too. You can tell coach is really down about it. Wonder what's going to happen to Joey? Doesn't sound pleasant what ever happens to him and the others that lost their tempers. Getting to love our coach. Shula never put up with baloney from the players either.
After his presser, I gained more respect for him. I don't think he knows the words quit or give up. I also like how he answers dumb questions they ask more than once.
I think we have a very good coach in Sparano. Yes parcells is doing his job, but the way the coach has got these players to play and the passion they have is all from Sparano. Not sure how long his deal is for but he needs to be our coach for a long time, regardless of what our record this year ends up being.
I like his intensity the most. I also like that he keeps the questions he doesn't want to answer simple. "It will be between porter and I. I am addressing more than just porter. Camarillo is DONE.". I also like that he doesn't give the positive or the negative more than the other. If a reporter is going on about the positive sparano will bring up the negative. If they are bringing up the negative he will mention the positive. I think it's the balance that he brings that is key.
You know Parcells didn't pick a head coach that will put up with any BS from Porter. Porter will get in line or I guarantee he will be out of Miami next season. Whether he gets 20 sacks or not.
Tony is very focused. It'll be interesting to see how he handles the players that lost control. Maybe it's just a fine by the team (behind the scenes) and/or warning, or maybe something stronger to set an example.
