Let's put this disgusting loss behind us. And quickly move ahead to the pathetic Rams. We should win next week by more than 20. It will be a decent warm-up game to kick off the road trip. Chicago got 5 sacks, and 4 ints against St. Louis today. There should be plenty of opportunities for our defense to pound them into submission. If our offense can "trick" them enough to get a decent lead, we should be golden. 7-5 here we come!!! Go Dolphins!!!! We can still win 11.
dammit gish. the last time you said we should win we almost got our *** kicked. remember? ohh there's no way we can lose to the raiders...
amen gish!!! sounds like a plan to me. If we win next week, and pittsburgh beats NE, were back tied with them, and with the "easy" games we've still got left this year, we're still in the hunt.
Marc Bulger has an concussion (that's what ESPN said) so I'm thinking he's out next week. Trent Green here we come? Chicago did have 5 sacks, 4 interceptions but they're an inconsistent defense. One game they will look like the Bears defense that went to the Super Bowl and then the next game they'll look like the defense that can't finish off games. There's no doubt the Rams are a bad team but so are the Raiders and look how that played out.
I just watched the high lights and a part of me wanted TS to punch BB in the mouth when they shook hands at the end of the game.
Negativity after a loss doesn't surprise me. If we win only 3 more games, yours saying we finish 9-7 and I don't have one problem with that. That would be two more wins then I thought we would get.
It was just ONE game today.....we will right the tracks. The Patsies got the Steelers next week so we could be tied up with the Pats again after next week.
Being tied with the Pats is secondary at this point - while we might have a shot at the playoffs it's all but dead thanks to the less than stellar defensive showing we had tonight. Honestly, it's more than likely that any wins we pick up at this point are just going to shank us the same as they did in 2005.
I'm aware of that but what does that have to do with yours and mines comment? You said we'd be lucky to win three games. I said if we win three, it'll surpass my expectations.
What I was saying we will be lucky to win 3 meaning we may not beat Rams, Bills, 9ers, Rams, Jets. MY expectations have already be surpassed I said before the season we would be 4-12 we have 6 wins, Expectations surpassed.
Why people are proud of the idea of a barely winning season and missing the playoffs is just beyond me.
Why people are proud of the idea of making the playoffs but missing the superbowl is beyond me......... When it's all said and done only 1 team can claim the top prize. The others can ***** and moan about not winning the super bowl, or they can find something to hand their hats on. For me if this team comes out, gets better, plays hard, and continues to make strides I'll call this a successful season. We're less than a year removed from a 1 win season. Our coaches came in and were floored by our lack of talent saying it would take 3 years for us to just be competetive again. Wed're looking awful competitive, have some young guys showing some great talent, and a coaching staff that is showing the ability to bring the best out of our players and create imaginative game planning.
as much as i wanna agree we cant get ahead of ourselves. The rams are very capable of beating us. Lets not look past them.
I agree with BuckeyeKing, but I am not so sure we can beat the Rams, the Rams can throw, and we can't stop Matt Cassel, a journeyman quarterback-back-up.....? Today's game was a must win game and we blew it....! d-1
i know your upset but you need to take a step back and take a deep breath. do you seriously believe trent green and the rams will beat miami this week?
I love the optimism. I definitely think we will win this game, but I am not sure by what margin. I would guess in the neighborhood of about 10 points.
