It's not negativity, it's a realistic assessment of the situation. What some people are doing is pie-in-the-sky wild-eyed overoptimism and homerism.

 

Kneejerk reactions don't make you a better fan. None of us are stinkin happy. Give me a break. There are no excuses but this BS with the worst case scenario always being "realistic" is just silly. We see how realistic all of these predictions were after the 0-2 start and after 2-4. I **** sure know none of you realistic types were predicting that this game would matter.

Of course you can always defend your past "realism" with "how were we supposed to know they'd win those games?"

You are telling me that AT HOME, playing for our playoff lives (which really we were especially if during the game some of our boys saw the Jets score) and the simple fact that we are playing NE wasn't enough to make our guys come out and want to DESTROY the Pats regardless of whatever happened earlier...

No way bro. If thats the case then absolutely everyone on this team needs to be released outright right after the game.

Their defense has sucked for a couple years...no one noticed it when their offense was so incredibly dominant though. Just like no one will notice it today.

 

Ginns been coming up big and had some quick plays this game as well. Don't know what youve been watching.

 

Pie-in-the-sky? Really? Please. Statistically they are still in the playoff hunt. Period. That's it. And yes they could beat any team left on the schedule. It's possible. They will be favored in all except the Jets game. Nobody's happy the defense wet the bed, but we're not so disillussioned with anger that we forget that they are capable of better play.

 

Because he's making fun of my column, insinuating that nobody really reads it. It would be like me saying to him "create a thread about it. I'm sure someone will read it."

It didn't add anything to the analysis and was just a gratuitous shot.

No biggie, though. That just adds to the fun!

They're defense sucks. If Miami defense could have forced even two more punts Miami likely wins this.

 

You make no sense whatsoever. No one has talked about the worst-case scenario...that's your homeristic view of the REALISTIC scenario. 9-7 is by NO means the worst case scenario...that would be 6-10. No one is saying we'll go 6-10. I and a couple others are saying that it was unrealistic to think this is a playoff team and you are taking offense to that, blaming everyone but the people who lost the game.
