the offensive line is slowly getting worse the last 4 weeks...

Some good. A LOT of bad. Need to execute better on both sides of the ball if we are to win.

All the numbers point to us losing. I would like to snap a ton of New England's streaks today.

 

Looks like its going to be another nail biter.

 

Not too bad of a first half, I'm deffenitly happy with a 17-14 game compared to what it could be right now.

 

hell of a game so far boys and girls...

I really anticipated the Dolphins could get embarrassed here...but this performance so far has been way above my expectations. Imaginative...but there's been sloppy moments, for both teams.

I expect after the half you'll see the Dolphins and Patriots step up their level of play.

 

I have no nails left to bite.

 

It could be a lot worse, true...but unless our defense tightens up and our offense starts running the ball consistently, it WILL get a lot worse.

 

It sure could be a lot worse looking at Cassel's stats:

18/25 205 yards, 1 TD and a INT.

 

Buff just scores a scrambling TD with 4 seconds left in the half. Good grief, KC.

 

if we want to win this game... we need to start moving the ball more consistently when we've got it. run off the clock. its pretty simple

on defense, we've got to get to cassel, so far nobody really has. we've got to drill him once or twice to shake him up a bit. and our secondary needs to tighten up their coverage. cassel is having it way to easy out there. too much time, too many guys open.

Defense better get some real pressure in the 2nd half.

At least this game is still up in the air. If the secondary can get things tightened up some the game is winnable.

Remember though fellows I believe NE has Pitt. next week and the Fins have St. Louis so even a loss today and more than likely after next week the Fins and Pats will still be tied.

The win today would be huge though.

The problem is that you can't really blitz a spread offense. You need to get pressure with your front four, which we havent, and play solid coverage, which we have at times but not overall.

 

They are lucky to be in this at this point. The second half had better be much better or they can start thinking about 6-5. Scoring some points on the first second half drive would be a great start.

If we could see all of them it would do alot for explaining all of the underneath stuff being wide open. Television does nothing to show the dominant force that is Randy Moss.

Cassell is looking like Brady out there. This one's going to be tough to pull off without more pressure from the defensive front.

Let me take this opportunity to point out that the wildcat hasn't been stopped by anyone but the Miami Dolphins in this game. I haven't checked the stats but I would venture to say we are averaging 5 to 6 yards per carry with the formation. I've seen some call for it to be called in the first half. I don't know why. It's been the most productive run game we have had in the game. Running the ball is crucial at this point as we need to keep the defense off the field.
