Week 11 Raiders at Dolphins official game thread

i am very worried about next week, we win, we are in amazing shape, we lose then we got a lot of work to do, Patriots are playing desperate next week as for them its a must win, its going to be a good, close game

 

well guys Rosefels screws the pooch again for the Texans. The Colts win.

Casell didn't have his game together yet and their D was very unprepared for the Wildcat. Also, their D is weak against the run and we ran the ball a lot. We can still run on them, but if we do the Wildcat against them, they'll stuff it. And Cassell is going to eat our DBs alive this time unless we pull something very creative out of our ***.

 

I don't know why some of you keep expecting Miami to come out and dominate people. They are young and are finding themselves. That rarely happens with up and comers. They kept the Oakland offense out of the endzone the entire game and when the game was on the line they executed. I don't know what more some of you want.

Since you're still nitpicking Rick, how about that 6 win at best season prediction? Still sticking with it?

 

CBS showed that although the Fins have the weakest schedule left guess who is tied with them?...the Colts. Both teams have a combined opponent winning percentage record of .381.

 

Oh I guess you're right...since we're more talented than I had any reason to believe we were in the preseason, I guess that means I shouldn't criticize poor tackling and poor coaching decisions. Tra la la, all is right with the world, there are no bad coaching decisions or bad special teams or poor tackling...

The Raiders are not a "bad" team, watched them last week and they played well.

But on the bright side, Ted Ginn is on his way to arriving, and there were some signs of life from Vonnie.

 

The Miami Dolphins are in 2nd place and right in the thick of the playoff hunt, all is right for now. And you didn't actually answer the question, six wins at best? You were predicting that far past the preseason.

 

I have to agree this team is playing poorly right now. They have to play a whole lot better to beat the Pats next week.

Winning close games is key though and I wish this team can go back to the Texans and Jets games.

I just can't be happy about almost losing to a terrible Raiders team...its not good.

 

Well, we did win the game...

ST...nightmare...Oline...Penny needs a medal for staying healthy this year..

Yes I was...why SHOULDN'T I have been when we dropped a game to a Jets team that didn't yet have a coherent offense and then got POUNDED into the turf by the Cardinals? Should I have said at that point that a 1-15 team was going to win more than 6 games?
It's wonderful that we're a better team this season...but being a fan who wants more for this team that just being respectable, I will continue to say so when I see bad play or bad coaching. If you don't like it, feel free to ignore what I say.

 

With all my harsh words I've said 6-4 is pretty nice for a 1 win team a year ago.

Had the Fins been able to win close games earlier this year this team would be at least 7-3 (I'm assuming we would have still lost to the Jets since the Texans game was a total blown game) or possibly 8-2 and either winning the division or tied.

 

Poorly is a relative term. It's hard to describe any team on a four game winning streak in the national football league as playing poorly. We all would have been content with six wins on the season back in August and now we're complaining about the manner in which games are being won. Just the fact that that's happening should make you ecstatic about this season and this team.

And just for the record I wasn't exactly thrilled with the performance today but I think just the fact that we can nitpick victories speaks volumes about how well Sparano has done.

 

I wanted to see them blow Oakland out but they still won and that is all I care about in the end.

 

Yeah you are right there that is for sure. The fact we aren't all saying well there is always next season is huge at this point.

I think the Colts will probably keep the Fins out of the playoffs this year but it has still been a great year.

This team has still played poorly against bad teams though. If the Fins beat the Pats or Jets by 2 I won't complain but the Raiders and Seahawks...yes I will.

 

If the fins do make the playoffs these games that really tested their resolve could prove invaluable as opposed to a bunch of blowouts. Just a thought. The Raiders defense is not terrible, it's just their offense. So we should be a little concerned about the low point total but there's no need to panic at this point. The defense played well preventing the Raiders offense from ever getting in the endzone.

 

These wins can mean two things at crunch time. One, we're not going to beat any good teams. Or two, we find a way to win against good or bad teams. We'll find out down the stretch.

 

On the Post game press interview, Chad Pennington mentioned about Ed Hoculi and the blown time out....."Next time I will tackle him"...."I wonder how much he benches"

Keep the streak going. We need to beat NE. At the end of the playoffs, I'll pay to have your shirt cleaned.

 

Lat year we would of lost these sloppy games. This year we don't. I'll take an ugly win -vs- a clean loss.

 

If we win the Superbowl, I'm having it framed, dirt and all.
