per espn ESPN - Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington probable with foot injury hopefully he's alright
Hopefully he's ok, but it not, then Oakland is a bad enough team for Henne to play and get some onfield experience.
uh oh... Im sure he's fine if he's listed as being probable. Nothing to worry about i'm sure. I agree though, if for whatever reason he cant go, Oakland would not be a bad situation for Henne's first start thats for sure. I doubt its going to come to that though. One thing remains certain, we'll see Chad at quarterback on sunday!
No reason to worry he is listed as probable. If he were questionable or doubtful then yeah, I would worry.
I'm not too worried about Oakland if Pennington can't play, but I would for sure rather see Pennington on the field when we are playing the three other divisional games we have left this year. Those games will be huge, if we want to have a shot at making the playoffs.
Pennington placed on injury list Pennington probable with foot injury 4 hours, 43 minutes ago Pennington probable with foot injury - NFL - Yahoo! Sports DAVIE, Fla. (AP)—Quarterback Chad Pennington was added to the Miami Dolphins’ injury report because of a sore foot, and he’s listed as probable for Sunday’s game against Oakland. The Dolphins didn’t elaborate on the injury Sunday or say or when it happened. Pennington ranks sixth in the NFL in passing and has led surprising Miami to a 5-4 record. If Pennington can’t play, rookie Chad Henne would make his first NFL start. He was taken in the second round of the April draft. The Dolphins signed linebacker Rob Ninkovich off their practice squad and placed guard Matt McChesney on injured reserve.
I don't want Chad Henne playing AT ALL this year. It's clear as day that one of the monumental differences between this team and teams of the past is the play and leadership of Chad Pennington. You can't say well it's Oakland and it's a good chance for Henne. Oakland can win, look at the NY Jets. I'm excited about Henne and his future, but I say future for a reason--right now it's Chad Pennington.
Considering he was injured today. I am thinking it was a light sprain on his ankle. You figure they only put them through light practices the day day before a game. he may have stepped wrong or ronnie and him might of gotten tangled up, etc....... Probally going to spend tonight with his ankle packed in ice to get the swelling down and maybe a couple of vicadin for tomorrow to relieve any discomfort. He will be on the field, I'm guessing.
I do - I hope he gets some mop up time with the Dolphins having a 30 point lead in a 4th quarter sometime this season. It would be good for the soul to see Miami put the second string in for a good reason.
There ya go. Those are the circumstances I want to see Henne playing under this year. I do not want to see him starting. I believe that Pennington has been a huge factor in this team's quick turnaround. I think we need him out there. Unless as you already stated the game is well in hand and he has the opportunity for some pressure free live game experience.
Geez, just about anybody else, a simple sore foot works. But Chad? They should know, that keeping hush, but listing him as "probable" isn't gonna throw a monkey wrench into Raider Nation, but it sure as #&%! is gonna rattle the nerves of the Phandom! How bad is it? A sprain? a pull? What happened to the guy? Hell, I wanna know if he chips a tooth!
