jesus if miami had the ST blockign that jags have i think Ginn would have at least 10 TDs a year. I can't wait till our team becomes HALF of waht they were in the early 00's.
o most definitely. U give him a few ppl to block and the man will rip it. we had some hurrendous blocking thi syear.
did you see number 66 downfield?? he was awesome, reminded me of Larry Little, downfeild hunting victims.
i think that return had one of the nicest blocks ive seen in my life. along with Faneca's block on that 11 yard run or so.
hadnot is another one that likes to headhunt downfield.. I was a lineman as a kid so I love line play.
As much as like Ted Ginn returning kicks, we may need to seriously look at someone else doing that job for us. He may be to valuable to use as a Kr soon, I would like to see LBooker doing that job for us.
Steve Smith has done it. There is always a possibility of injury, but I don't think it increases on returns. JMO though
If it means more points and better field position then it's a risk worth taking IMO. Look at Carolina utilizing Smith in this manner.
Carolina has also looked to get a new returner for a couple years, but every guy they bring in, isn't good. This year, they actually drafted someone who looks decent in Ryne Robinson
You could be "Right" l2g, Ginn is so raw at Wr ( so is Smith if you watch the Panthers play) and we have Lorenzo Booker with no real position to play. For me it isn't about a possible injury for Ginn, it is his development at Wr. Add in Booker looking for things to do for us, and his skill set.
just curious, how many of you here that are shouting with joy and giving high acoolades to Ted Ginn, were some of the very ones that trashed Cam when he announced him at the draft? <ducking>
To be honest I thought Brady Quinn=Ted Ginn, I thought the NFL rep had mispronounced Quinn's name... Boy, people were mad that draft...I mean flipping out angry... I thought Ginn could give us great Field Position, and that would help us score.... I also thought we could go 10-6....
I understand, I just think that he can do both just fine. I wouldn't be against letting Booker get a few returns here and there, might be good for him.
