Whatever dude, if you didn't know Brennan was a considered a 1st round pick coming into the season, I don't know what to say. And a 3rd round pick is still way higher then Chang was ever considered.

I'm done with this discussion though. Have a good night and a great week(end).

    Re:

Who considered him a first-round pick? Give me the name of one draft guru that gave him a first-round grade? Where is the link? I follow the draft closely, who, other than ignorant fans, you know, the guys who thought Reggie Bush was a once-in-generation talent, gave Brennan a first-round grade? How would a short, small, sidearm-throwing, run and shoot quarterback with average arm strength, dubious character, no experience taking snaps from center, and zero games against upper-echelon teams merit a freaking first-round grade? What incompetent talent evaluators are you referring to? Hopefully they don't work for the Miami Dolphins.

One player who has moved up to the top of his position is Hawaii's Colt Brennan, the top quarterback in the junior class. He has thrown at least four touchdown passes in eight straight games, and his 43 TD passes (and just seven INT) leads Division I-A by a wide margin. Yes, Brennan is the benefactor of the offense Hawaii runs, but he has been extremely accurate and throws a very catchable ball for his receivers.

Here is an interview with Lee Corso

Q: If you were an NFL GM, which quarterback would you want to take first in the NFL draft: Kentucky's Andre Woodson, Louisville's Brian Brohm, Brennan, or Boston College's Matt Ryan?

A: I would take Brennan 'cause he has played more of a pro attack. He can throw the football well, and June Jones is a pro coach. I like the fact that he has been taught the passing game from the ground up from Jones.

Since insider is free this week, I presume it's okay to post a link:

Link:Mel Kiper's Top 5 Seniors and Juniors by Position

One thing struck me about his list and that's the Junior QBs:
    Quote:
    Quarterbacks
    1. Colt Brennan, Hawaii
    2. John David Booty, USC
    3. Brian Brohm, Louisville
    4. Chad Henne, Michigan
    5. JaMarcus Russell, LSU

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin reports that Colt Brennan will return to Hawaii for his senior year as he continues to assault the NCAA record book. The relevant quotes:

Brennan was advised by the NFL that he is a likely second round pick in the April 28-29 draft in New York. He is generally rated the third best quarterback available in the draft, behind JaMarcus Russell of Louisiana State and Brady Quinn of Notre Dame.

His accuracy as a passer is unquestioned, but at 6-feet-3 and 200 pounds, Brennan is not as big as some of the other top pro quarterback prospects. But many other smaller quarterbacks, such as Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints and Marc Bulger of the St. Louis Rams, enjoy success in the NFL…

    Redskins, Dolphins wanted Brennan

    http://blogs.honoluluadvertiser.com...s_rivers_time_to_step_up&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

The Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins said they were interested in taking quarterback Colt Brennan in the first round, said Rich Miano, UH's liason to the NFL.
A Miami offiicial told Miano: "We have the ninth pick, and we'd love to take him."
A Washington official said: "We'll take him in the first round."
The Redskins have the sixth pick in the first round.
Brennan announced yesterday he is returning to UH for his senior season.

I think we should definitely draft him now, because he just went from a 2nd-3rd rounder to prob a 4th or later. He is a great QB. But like any QB, can't really perform when you only have 1.5 seconds to throw. He has a good arm and can thread the needle like no other

He can still throw the ball, but he is not great, The Bulldogs sacked him 8 times and pressured him another 20. Few QBs would have done well.

Half those sacks were his fault. In a run and shoot you are not getting 5 seconds. You have three seconds to decide what you're doin. That is the run and shoot. Brennan flat out choked under the pressure. The first play or delay penalty was a sign of Brennan's mindset. The guy is a system QB like Kingsbury was. He's now a 3rd or 4th rounder. He will have an opportunity to salvage his draft status if he plays in an all star game and lights it up in a more traditional based offense. If he fails at that look at 3rd or 4th

Will he be at the Senior bowl? He will need a good Senior Bowl and NFL combine to lock himself as a second rounder, IMO.
