This quote and the fact that we have a hole a RDE makes me think Long, Although dorsey in a 4-3 would work for me. With our LB's we are not ready to go 3-4. Maybe in '09.
The thing is this...we don't even have any coaches. We don't know if our team will run a 3-4 or a 4-3 or both at times. We're putting the cart before the horse.
God Forbid the guy speak his mind on who he'd rather see the team get. I'm sure he's not going to make that big of a stink if they get Long or Dorsey.
I also don't mind him speaking his mind, unless for some reason Ireland or Parcell's specifically instructed the players not to speak about who they wanted to draft, then I think JT and anyone else can tell anyone who they would like to see drafted. If anything he should have more of an opinion than us fans since who the Dolphins pick may have a direct impact on him.
yea, why not get the cards on the table up front.. better do what he says Tuna.. or else YER gone next year.. JT.. the coaching staff killah
Marino spoke his mind on who he wanted the Dolphins to draft while Shula was in town. Favre does it.. Brady had a say in the Patriots getting Randy Moss. That's the role of the team face. Often times they speak their minds on who they'd LIKE to see the team get/draft. Unless he threatens to hold out or demands a trade if they take someone else rather than Dorsey, I think this is being blown out of perportions.
I guess if JT can't have an opinion than we as fans can't either. Who do we think we are? The GM of the Miami Dolphins?
I think JT better settle for Gholston because I think if we go defense that's the guy we pick. Parcells drafted McGinnest, Farrior, Ware, Spencer in the first rounds I believe. Bledsoe also.
