Taylor already doing pre game for NBC. He sounds articulate which is no surprise. Hope he doesn't like it to much. Definitely has a bright future in the booth.
Didn't he so something like this last year during playoff time or am I thinking of someone else? For ESPN maybe.
He did some in-studio analysis for ESPN, yes. JT will be back for the rest of his contract. Just hopefully not with us.
Every one knows . . . . if u can get something for JT (first day pick only) . . . u do it and run . . . same for Zach . . . if we are gonna rebuild . . . that is gonna take 3 years, those guys wont be playing in 3 years IMO . . . so get something for them now.
My personal target for a JT trade is a straight-up player swap, a 1st round pick, or a 2nd and 3rd round pick. I wouldn't mind shipping Ricky Williams out in a bundle deal with JT for someone's 1st round pick if they REALLY pressed us.
think we can get that much for a guy that talked retirement not that long ago? i think we can get a 2nd.
i don't know about you guys but he looked like he was dogging it to me. Think i saw him fake an injury half way through it.
Ok, I will play along....this just in: NBC rookie Tiki Barber told ESPN Radio 760 that JT's "one mistake" was "taking on Bob (Costas) and trying to diminish his role on the set." "When he (JT) came in, he needed to try and establish himself," Tiki told ESPN 760-AM. "One of the ways of doing that was to make sure that guys like Costas and Collensworth understood that he was the new guy and recently actually played in this days NFL ... Probably his one mistake, I think, was kind of taking on Costas and trying to diminish his role, because he's just a guy that gives you everything he's got, he was the Emmy Award winner last year and that kind of left a bad taste in all of the guys mouths."
You're kind of underestimating JT's character bro... I don't want to see JT leave unless he wants too. To me, when he shoots off his mouth, it seems to be one of those spur of the moment type things where he's blowing off steam. I think JT cares about our franchise as much as anyone else and I don't think he'd up and quit to do studio work. I think JT will be back for one or two more years before he hangs up his shoes.
Tiki threw a lot of his Giant's teamate under the bus.....I doubt JT would ever bad mouth any of the Phin's players or coaches if he decided to move on.
yeah last year, on the ESPN set, JT described tom brady as having "phone booth quicks" and the whole crew lit up. they really seemed to like that and kept using it the rest of the show.
