Trufant's still a stud CB but he's undergoing Asomugha syndrome and teams are picking on the other CB's. I don't have the confidence in our WR's. I'd actually go Rivers. He's got Chambers back, Jackson's having a good year, and Gates/LT are always dangerous. Plus, it's the Chiefs...
Do you guys stilll like Slaton vs Bal and Deuce vs ATL? Or should I throw Torrain vs Cle in for one? Looks like hes starting.
Tough choices... Baltimore gave up some points, but I'd think they would bounce back. Slaton has a bad matchup. Deuce is a goal line runner, and the Saints throw like crazy. He could be worth 6-10 points, and might be the safest choice. However, I say gamble. Torain might put up some big numbers this week. His first start, denver on the ropes, a short week for both teams (this will be an offensive game, defense suffers on short weeks). So yeah... Torain would be my guy. I'm starting him on one of my fantasy teams, I need to gamble. I'm 4-5 and injuries have opened up a spot and I'm willing to take a shot.
I dont know, I think you should stick with Slaton for sure. With Sage coming into the game they should depend on the run more. As for Deuce, I think I saw where Bush said he would play Sun.? As for Torain, I have no clue. The Broncos have been so inconsistent with they plays they call.
They said there's an outside chance he'll play but I really think its impossible. He just started running the other day and they really don't need him to beat ATL imo.
No one but Shanny knows about Torain. Who knows, he may even go with Hillis with most of the carries. Deuce may share carries or they may just decide to go air first. Slaton is a sure starter and Texans may lean on him for better or worse. Tough matchup though.
Who would you start, pick 2: Steve Slaton vs Baltimore, Thomas Jones vs St. Louis or Jamal Lewis vs Denver? It's a ppr league, which is why I'm considering starting Slaton. But I dont see him doing much vs Baltimore. Edit: you all let me down! I needed an answer before the Cleveland game started. I started Lewis, I have time to pick between Slaton and Jones. I have Jones starting atm, but that can change...
Jones vs. STL. Lewis was the right pick too. I got two moves blocking me this week. Jerricho Cotchery vs. STL or Torry Holt vs. NYJ or Ted Ginn Jr. vs. SEA Pittsburgh D vs. INDY or Chicago D/ST vs. TEN
Lewis was the right call to start. I never played in a ppr league, just found out what it was, so take this for what it's worth... Start Slaton. He got 8 catches vs. Minny (good D). Jerricho and Pitt.
Torain has 69 yards (5.7 per carry) and 1 TD at half time. I knew this kid would blow up. Shanny has been gushing about him in the past. He may save my season in one league. Anyone can run in Denver...
How about Holt vs. Ginn? I was going to pick up Torain for tonight but I was too late. I have Portis and Barber on a bye this week so I picked up Derrick Ward.
I'm watching the gamestats at yahoo wondering wtf is going on. Thanks for the heads up. In the league I'm talking about, I started 3-0 and am now 4-5. Boldin, Chambers, Romo, Addai, and Stewart have all been hurt for me. Now my new RB hope (Torain) is gone.... Bad, bad luck. But Cutler and Royal are helping me big time in other leagues. Cutler and Royal might give me 30 a piece...
I have Cutler & Marshall starting in one league...glad I decided to go with him instead of Eli this week
I started Quinn and Winslow on one team, Royal on two others, and Cutler on another. Best Thursday ever.
Picking up Brady Quinn for Ted Ginn to replace an injured QB. Lookin good so far. Thanks Cam! Oh, and thanks to the 2 managers who dropped Kellen Winslow. Hope you enjoy Heath Miller.
Looks like he's done for the year with an ACL. wow. Another great waiver wire pick up right down the ****ter. per rotoworld btw.
Ho-lee crap. Jay Cutler: 38 points in Yahoo standard scoring. Leagues where passing TDs are worth 6 points pushed him into the 40s. Sorry, Finole, you just lost to a 3-6 team.
Cutler got me 58 points last night in one of my Yahoo leagues. I have Quinn in my ThePhins league and he only got me 17.86...
Need help at RB...just moved Moore into my flex but can't decide on which two RB's to start. Lynch vs. Pats Green-Ellis vs. Bills Grant vs. Vikes Faulk vs. Bills also, in another league would you start Moore vs. Colts over T.Jones vs. Rams or Turner vs. Saints?
Got a dilemma. 2 RBs start in this league Reggie Bush - OUT Ronnie Brown - Starting Steven Jackson - OUT Jonathon Stewart - Banged up Kevin Faulk - Huge gamble Ricky Williams - All or nothing on Miami's running game, since I'm starting Ronnie too. So....Ronnie & Faulk /or/ Ronnie & Ricky?
Yeesh. I might go with Faulk since it looks like Morris and Jordan are out. It's a big gamble but so are the other ones. A 50-60 yard game with 10-20 receiving yards looks about right.
Braylon Edwards is being benched for the rest of the year in my team. What a waste of talent! From now on, it;s Hines Ward and Vincent Jackson.
Grant and Lynch. I have the exact same question only I am definitely starting Turner. Then I think Moore over Jones because you just never know with the Jets and the running game.
Phillip Rivers or Chad Pennington? - This is usually an easy pick but I think San Diego will be up fast and run all day long. Kenneth Darby or Matt Jones or Greg Camarillo? Yes, its come down to that. 14 man league.
Rivers likely. Even if they run, he'll still get his points in. Pennington has an equally easy matchup but Seattle's not as bad as KC on paper. Matt Jones has been pretty good as the recent #1 option for the Jags. No one can predict our WR's plus guys like Tatupu are returning for the Seahawks. Marcus Trufant's having an off year but he can still cover especially against lesser talents that we field.
I think I'm gonna get burned starting Minnesota's D against GB this week. These are my only other options: NE against Buffalo SD against KC Indy against Pit Should I stick with Minn or pick up one of those?
SD might be a possibility considering the matchup but they've been pretty bad themselves. I could go with Indy as a sleeper pick depending on who starts at QB for Pitts. I would go with SD just for this week and keep Minnesota around. But really, I don't think there'll be too much of a difference since I don't expect GB to burn the Vikes that badly.
