Shame it had to end in Oakland.

    Great career.

Look for him to replace Keyshaun Johnson on ESPN; IMO Keyshaun is coming out of retirement.

He had a full career and likely will be a HOF. Poor guy was stuck with the lowly Raiders.

Replacing Emmitt Smith seems more likely, the guy sounds like an idiot.

Fair to say Warren Sapp was the best U of Miami Defensive Lineman in the NFL all time?

I would think that is a fair statement about Sapp.

He was simply a force in Tampa Bay as part of that great Bucs defense. Hasn't had the same impact in Oakland, but there's no denying the man's talent (and his mouth). I'd rate him as one of the great interior lineman of all time, for sure. I'll miss watching him play, but he should be entertaining on TV as a talking head.

part of that was because his first year there, they tried to make him a 3-4 DE. Not the brightest move to have a Tampa 2 DT play 3-4 DE

he's had some shoulder problems in recent years as well. Maybe he just feels it's time to leave.
