Brought my 2 kids today and they loved it. I won't comment on my thoughts as this flick is for the kids
When was the last time the leads were in high school? Maybe they can do mid-life musical after a few years?
I got a funny story. We took the girls to High-School Musical on Ice last Saturday night (They of course loved it). I flew to Dallas Monday at noon, and while I was at the gate, I looked over and there was the entire Ice Skating cast......and I was just a little surprised as the Kid that was playing Zack Bolton (High School Stud) and his co-hort (Dont know the black-kid but also a High School stud in the movie) are just as flamboyantly gay as can be (NOt that there is anything wrong with that........) They were carrying on like newlyweds right in the airport terminal. Well, after talking to one of the Roadies, appearently the hotel they were at caught fire at 1:00 in the morning, and they had been sitting out at the street till 5:00 that morning, directly to breakfast from there and had been at the Airport after that.....
Parents who take there kids to see these high-school musical movies are contributing to the downfall of this great nation. I hear the name Hanna Montana and I immediately start looking for someone to punch.
We took the grandgirls to see it last Friday. Of course, they loved it. I thought it was good too. There's very few movies or tv shows that are fit for kids to watch, so I like the fact that Disney still cares about the kids. As for Miley Cyrus, I like her a lot. I just hope she never feels the need to be like some of the other so-called pop stars, like Britanny Spears or Lindsey Lohan. If you don't like good, clean fun, I doubt you would like any of these movies or people from Disney. I like most of them and love to watch with the grandgirls.
Ditto! If Hollywood would get on the ball and figure out that the movies which make the most money are the "family" oriented ones we'd all be living in a better society IMO.
im glad they liked it, i wanted to see it but everyone wanted to see saw v o well im going with my mom this week! it will bring back memories of how my high school was!
You sung, danced, and boned Vanessa Hudgens? Anyway I really really really hope my future kids are boys so I dont have to deal with watching High School Musical 15, I can handle cartoons but not **** like this.
My girls watch the older two all the time, they are god awful!!!! If my kids want to see it they better start talking to mom.
Seriously bro? This is just this generations rendition of "Grease". My girls (soon to be 5 and 2) LOVE Hannah Montana, and right now I dont have any issues with it. The alternative is ...welll not good at all. Until we see her turning completely drug-addicted, naked Diva, I dont have an issue with it.
I'm with you Kenny. Hannah (Miley) is so refreshing after hearing some of the music on the radio etc. I have no issues with her at all. I, for one, think she's very talented.
never made it through 10 minutes in either of them, god awful. But its not made for me, its made for young girls to like!
Titanic, LOTRs, Star Wars, PotCs, and the Matrices are not what most would consider "family oriented" movies yet are at the top of the money making lists. Dark Knight, I must've missed where that was family oriented.
Ugh, I just cant stand stuff like this.... Though if I had kids I might feel different. We sold a BMW 323 to a guy who was buying it for his daughter who was taking it to college. When she brought it back for service she left her Hanna Montana cd in the player. People who listen to such things at 18 should not be allowed to drive Beemers.
