The guy is a bum this year. He's suffering from ring envy. His best days are behind him, time ride the pine. His replacement, Steve Slaton. Oh yeah, benched for a rookie. A rookie that is playing against the Bengals. Eat that LT!!!

I'm 6-1 in the this league, and I have no idea how.

    Roster:

    QB:

    C. Pennington
    C. Palmer

    WR:
    S. Smith(CAR)
    A. Randel El
    L. Coles (scored 3 of his 4 tds on my bench)
    T. Ginn
    I. Hilliard
    D. Mason

    RB:
    L. Tomlinson
    M. Jones Drew
    S. Slaton

    TE:
    Gates

    K:
    Nedney
    Rackers

    DEF:
    Chicago
    Washington

    D:
    Cromartie
    Revis
    McGee

Feels good to be #1. But i think i might be headed for disaster soon.

    Congrats.

    The first step is denial.

    The second step is acceptance.

Glad to see you are moving on to step three........don't personally know what that is though bro, never made it past denial. :wink2:

I much happier I passed on LT and wound up with Portis and Gore

Nevertheless, LT is known for big second halves, so he's not a lost cause

my first QB (3rd round) was Derek Anderson. He got cut week 3

Carson Palmer is holding me back from ultra domination in one of my leagues. I'm totally stacked at WR, RB, TE, DEF. I almost got Kurt Warner for free, but someone grabbed him ahead of me on waivers. And he didnt even need him, f-ing a-hole.

I almost want to puke at the WR crew. Certainly hope you're not starting Ginn. I'm benching LT too but I've actually got better backs (Portis, Ronnie).

y'know, when i first glanced at the thread title, i didn't realize this was the fantasy football forum, and thought you meant you had bench pressed LT. now THAT would have been a lot more impressive that what you did :tongue2:

Ive got Portis and Ronnie in another league. Yet have a worse record,.

I think I started Ginn once out of desperation. I really dont like my team, but they are 6-1, so i cant complain.

    My favorite team:

    Record: 5-2 (1st place)

    QB:
    T. Edwards
    D. Anderson
    M. Cassel

    WR:
    A. Johnson
    W. Welker
    E. Royal
    D. Driver

    RB:
    S. Jackson
    R. Brown
    R. Bush
    J. Stewart

    TE:
    O. Daniels
    H. Miller

    K:
    R. Lindell

    DEF:
    Chicago
    Washington

    D:
    J. Porter
    M. Griffin

This team has championship potential if I can find a solid QB. I may trade a RB if it gets ugly.

    WR Brandon Marshall
    WR Reggie Wayne
    RB Ronnie Brown
    RB Clinton Portis
    TE Jason Witten
    K David Akers
    DEF Pittsburgh
    BN LaDanian Tomlinson
    BN Marshawn Lynch
    BN Anthony Fasano
    BN Peyton Manning
    BN Roy Williams

I neglect to swap bye-week players and I still win by an average of 20 points a week. I don't even bother with this one. That's championship potential.

how many people are in that league? by my count, 5, maybe 6 of those players would be taken in the first 2 rounds in this years draft

LT, Moss, Portis, Lynch, Manning, Wayne
and i saw witten, ronnie and williams all go as high as round 3

how in the F did you pull that off

A lot of them were trades for "better" ranked players. This was a pretty early draft and people thought Ronnie (drafted 9th round I believe) would share too many carries with Ricky (drafted 7th round). Marshall was a Week 2 trade after Chambers got hot. It was Witten for Winslow. Traded Favre for Cutler. And it's a 10 player league.

I have in an 8 team league, no flex, no defensive players. I think I have a good shot at the championship (I'm running second at 5-1-1 right now)

    QB Aaron Rodgers
    RB Clinton Portis
    RB Frank Gore
    WR Larry Fitzgerald
    WR Santana Moss
    WR Reggie Wayne
    TE Owen Daniels
    K Nick Folk
    D Tennessee Titans

BN QB Donovan McNabb (who's starting this week)
    BN WR Wes Welker
    BN WR Marques Colston
    BN WR Chris Chambers
    BN RB Chris Johnson
    BN RB Willis McGahee

dude. you hit the right trades, at the right times. thats how you play fantasy football. excellent job.

my only trade of the year was Tampa and Reggie Wayne for Chicago and D. Driver. I only pulled the trigger because i was sitting there watching eddie royal tear it up on mnf. i picked up royal and then shipped off wayne. it has worked in my benefit so far. In fact, i played the guy this past week. Chicagos defense absolutely slaughtered him, while reggie didnt do jack. I won by over 60. lol. i love beating someone after trading with them.

Tricks of the trades. Always go with your gut and always scour the waivers/FA. Lots of luck too. Another league, I needed a bye-week WR and just happened to pick up a dropped Marvin Harrison, who then had his only good game of the year. It's why I like giving advice in the fantasy threads because usually, they work out well.

i go with my gut too. it also helps to have an extensive knowledge of as many lower tier players as possible. Its those guys that become great the following season. If you see it coming the year before, you get a heads up for the draft. Steal city.

So how'd you make out with LT on the bench? Don't give up on him, he still has KC twice and some other fav. matchups. I stuck w/ him this week and he propelled me to paydirt.

Maybe I'm a dick, but no way is this a real fantasy team.

Randy Moss was a first round pick in every draft I've done. LT is the #1 or #2 overall player selected (every year for the last 4-5 years). Peyton is a 1st rounder. Portis and Lynch are 1st to early 2nd rounders. Reggie Wayne was a 3rd rounder in most drafts.

So unless you're playing mentally ******ed people, literally mentally ******ed people, this draft is impossible.

I'd like to see a screen cap of the draft and the team before I could call this legit.

I benched LT this week too, for Jones Drew. MJD did ****... I figured after his last game (26 points) he would tear *** against the Browns. Nope.

LT is on Bye this week. When he gets back, he's my start for the year.

I believe I posted it earlier but I got a huge chunk of my players through trades and waivers for, at the time, equivalent value rankings wise.

Figures. LT has been mediocre all yr, then the last week of the yr. when most all fantasy playoffs are over...he goes off.
