great coverage all game.....a big play here or there.....but stepped up today with deflections, big hits (jason allen ff anyone?) and a int.... after a disapointing season....our db's were very very efficent today...... keep it up and we gotta scary team!!! p.s.- joey porter for dpoty !!!!!!!
Joey Porter is a man on fire. I also like the way Andre Goodman played. Evans beat him a few times, but he also stepped up and knocked several passes away.
yes.....evans didn't nearly have the big game I expected....great job by the db's and pass rush today.....
I think Evans was at 116 yards? Either way, he didnt beat us deep. That was the key to todays win, we minimized the big plays and forced Buffalo to makes mistakes. Also, one of the long catches Evans had (33 yards I believe) was an underthrown pass where Edwards got hit. Thats a tough play to defend...
Goodman That was by far the best game I have ever seen him play. Even the PI call that went agasint him was a good clean play on his part. If he could keep that up he would be worth keeping as a nickle or dime back.
Goodman did have a really good game. Looked like a man possessed in the second half. Made some great plays against Evans, who always kills us. Couldn't have happened to a better guy. Was great to see after weeks of struggles. The PI was a bad call IMO.
I really liked the way they responded after the the interception and fumble recovery. They very quickly organized and went into blocking formation . You could tell they have been practicing not just creating turn overs but also making the most of the them.
Anyone notice that it seemed like our secondary played more man to man coverage today than last week against Baltimore? Last week seemed liked we were dropping into zone coverage a lot and Flacco and the WRs were finding the soft spots in the zone and picking it apart. It made our DBs look awful. Today it seemed like we were playing mostly man to man coverage and the DBs were all over Buffalo's WRs today. Was it just me?
Those two plays that #21 made were absolutely textbook and showed great skills, WHO THE HELL KIDNAPPED GOODMAN!!!...AND WHY THE HELL WAS'NT I NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS!!
First sack was cover sack people. Trent had all day to throw alot of times...but DBs were doing good!
