Yeah, but he shared the load from week one. I had him on my fantasy team, and I remember being pissed that I didn't have the balls to start him in Week 1. Also, though I think he's a stud, Peterson's rookie performance is tempered by the fact that his ridiculously talented offensive line also paved the way for a tremendous performance by Minnesota's other running back, Chester Taylor. Peterson: 238 carries, 1341 yds, 5.6 ypc, 12 TDs Taylor: 157 carries, 844 yds, 5.4 ypc, 7 TDs I get the feeling that any good back would look like a Pro Bowler behind that line.
Bowe is a nice player, but give Ginn time (he didn't play the full season like Bowe) and a half decent quarterback and I bet that Ginn will match his numbers. Bowe looks like a legit NFL talent, but I think that Ginn is one as well.
Re: Don't forget that Bowe didn't have a quarterback either. But you're spot on about Adrian Peterson, the amount of hyperbole about Peterson is astounding. Chester Taylor was nearly as successful running the ball as Peterson was. Joe Thomas should have been the offensive rookie of the year.
THATS IT!!!! THATS THE ONE!!!! Thats the offense that I want to have in Miami. That is my favorite offense in the entire game. Have a huge Oline that works like magic, and devastating runners that will eat the defense alive. If we had that, we would definitely never lose 15 games again. Parcells offers this in his offense. I beg for the day that opposing defenses cringe at the sight of Ronnie Brown standing behind our massive offensive line. Give me a run stopping 3-4 defense anchored by Glenn Dorsey, Joey Porter, Vonnie Holliday, and Jason Taylor. I could almost cry at the thought of what dorsey could do for our defense. Trading down would be horrible. But as far as Satele goes, thats awesome. Credit where credit is due. Its always good to see a Dolphin getting recognition for good play, but it kinda means a little more right now. Great for him.
I'd love to see what Ted Ginn could do with as many opportunities as the receivers on that list. Save Dwayne Bowe, Calvin Johnson & James Jones didn't overly impress me. Johnson dropped a ton of passes in the games that I saw, and got his number called more than quite a few #1 WR's in this league. James Jones was the #3 WR in Brett Favre's offense -- can you say padded production? Please.
Good for him, he's played well al year and he plays with a pasion...he's only gonna get better. Ozzy rules!!
