Yes, it's been brought up again. IGN Advertisement Actually, now that I think about it... MGS is the weird one in the bunch. All the rest have proven true. FF13, Tekken, Devil May Cry...
Nintendo will never allow it. Rare, Activision, and Microsoft are all over it, but nintendo has enough rights to stop it and they are. Microsoft wants it to happen cause they can use xbox live for goldeneye and sell the game for $15. Rare, which Microsoft owns, would upgrade the graphics for the 360 version, but NOT the nintendo version. (Obviously, they work for M$) So, there's no reason for nintendo to let it happen. Unless Microsoft were to agree to make rare upgrade the wii version AND make it work for the Wiis online as well. Something Microsoft will never do either. As for MGS4 on 360. Yeah, that's just a matter of time.
Given Dirge of Cerberus's ending(crap gameplay but good story) there's a better chance of another sequel being made, rather than a remake.
Biggest.. let down.. ever. I feel bad for the people who bought PS3's for this game alone and are back on 360 exclusively.
lol, first time I've even been in this forum, read the thread and that's what I was hoping. Let it be known...I used to play games.....a lot. I don't anymore (unless you count tetris on my cell), BUT...if they were to announce a FF7 remake I would buy whichever system it came out on JUST for the opportunity to play it. I have awesome memories of FF7, one of the best games ever made IMO. I wish like hell they'd remake it.
I don't feel bad. I use my PS3 as a Blu-Ray player and I'm glad it has free online gameplay. I probably won't buy MGS4 for the 360 unless they add a bunch of stuff to it.
First of all MGS4 pretty much maxed out a Blu-Ray so there would be like 50 discs for the 360 and second if it did release (which I don't see) it would follow the PS2-Xbox cycle of MGS games. I just don't see this happening, but you never know.
The maxed out Blu-ray thing is all hype and crap. If you've ever downloaded a 360 and a PS3 game (guilty as charged), you'll see that the same game (in my case, Battlefield Bad Company) always uses up all or most of the space on the disc. The 360 version of BF:BC was a modest 5.8GB (small for a 360 game). The EXACT same game weighed in at 17GB on the PS3. I dunno why. My guess, is they use little or no compression on video and audio files or they use filler files to combat piracy.
it's quite good. The ending is one of the most epic endings i can remember. For those of you who haven't played it or are never going to play it, I'd recommend youtubing the ending. Unfortunately i sold my psp not too long after beating that one. (i beat crisis core and God of war on the psp within 3 weeks of each other and after that the system lost all interest to me)
Like mor said, it really had more to do with Kojima and Co. TRYING to max out the blu ray then it did them having fully done it. They could easily fit the game on 2 dvd discs but they were trying to prove a point with it. I guess they did, but as a 360 owner, i'll be more than happy to switch the disc.
I'm willing to bet Mindwarp's left testicle (the only good one he has left - don't ask) that 75-80% of that Blu-ray is uncompressed audio for all of the talking in all of the cut scenes.
Do you feel bad for 360 owners since Bioshock is releasing on PS3 this month? Just wondering, there's really not much difference. The days of exclusives are coming to an end. Games cost too much to develop to limit to one console. That's why Microsoft and Sony have to bribe developers for their exclusives or make the games themselves. I couldn't care less and anybody who doesn't work for Sony or have serious fanboy issues probably feels about the same way. I seriously couldn't give two ***** what games they make for Xbox 360 as long as they keep pumping them out on PS3 too. Why anyone would buy a 400 dollar console to play one game is beyond me anyway.
I think the 360 could probably handle the game...but there is absolutely no way its fitting onto one DVD-9. I suppose they could put each act onto a DVD...maybe 2 acts per DVD but even then I think that may be pushing it. I bought the PS3 for one game and I feel totally justified in spending the $400 for that reason as I will never get to play this game on the 360. God of War III Now...I use my PS3 for other games too and actually play it more then my 360 since I got it...but the only reason I bought it was for that game.
my roommate is the same way. All he wants is God Of War III. He actually laughed at littlebigplanet and called it stupid. I was like "Dude, that's the ps3s biggest game this holiday". He wants nothing to do with it.
