Today officially signals the end of the Cam experiment, or nightmare as I so fondly look at it. There is no way Cam can justify his or his staff's existence any more, as it is clear that this team has totally given up on him and his regime. The jury is also still out on the 2007 draft and, in my opinion, very few if any of the draft picks has really showed promise for the future.

Perhaps it's just the lack of coaching, but Ted Ginn has not justified his number one status. Our center is OK but showed he was a turnstile today. Booker is still not in the lineup and our big fullback still can't block...and then there's Beck. Perhaps we all want to see what we want to see (or hope to see), but the most important thing over arm strength and touch is intelligence and decision making. Today, he showed none of that. I just don't see him ever being a big time QB in this league.

Decision making. Isn't that is the problem with this whole organization. Wayne has none...Cam has none...Mueller has none...and our quarterback of the future has none. Great!

So we wasted another draft, along with another year with a coach that is trying to learn on the job, while the Patriots are taking our priceless record and we get a new one at 0-16--worse ever...worse than s#ck.

unless Bill Cowher wants to come back and coach us, then i dont want to lose Cam. he turned our offense from almost worst, to what...#9 right now?

sure our defense is terrible, but Cam is offensive-minded, blame Capers on the defense.

    I have a news flash . . . THIS ISNT the #9 offense in the league . . . I don't care what stats says.

Most of that production has come in games where we were out and did something in the end (Cleveland and the first Jets game come to mind) . . . and also to the fact that Ronnie was eating yards but we weren't finishing. I look at offensive rank by points scored . . . and if u haven't seen by now . . . we have scored 6 offensive points in . . . . . 3 GAMES . . . zero touchdowns . . . that is not #9 offense, I'm sorry.

Didn't mean to vent, but don't use that as an excuse for Cam to keep his job . . . I rather you say injuries.

Thanks for venting for me

Yeah, the only reason I'd bring up to Wayne as a reason to keep this staff around is that injuries have taken their toll.

But, when you can't score a TD since LEMON scored on that scramble back in the 3rd quarter of the Buffalo game on Nov. 11.....

Brother the offense is nowhere near 'decent'.

Remember that the TD in the Philly game was due to Ted G's special teams return...NOT the offense.

per cnnsi.com http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/dolphins/ we are 27th in total offense and 24 in points scored. Do not know if that takes into account todays debacle.

Cameron's lost this team and he's shown he doesn't understand how to call a complete game. We passed the ball 13 straight times on offense during the game today, that's ridiculous. I know our RB's are hobbled but that's way to many pass plays in a row. Of course Beck had a bad game, it got to the point where the defense was literally just teeing off on him, because it was obvious we were passing.

Before you jump off the ledge: When Chatman went out and we couldn't run the Jets teed off and we lost. Look at the Giant game, Eli is having his share of troubles. If I came away from anything from todays game it's that we draft McFadden. After that, defense and in free agency or somewhere in the second day get another reciever. RBs take a pounding and we need two quality runners to spell each other. So far Ronnie is injury prone. Draft McFadden!

    so did Yatil Green

I love Ronnie, but maybe he's the guy that never plays a 16 game season. It would be a shame, but he has never shouldered the load of a full season.

I'm not saying trade him. I am saying don't be surprised if there is another injury next year.

...You English wipers of other people's bottoms.

Seriously, now; back on point. I understand about the injuries. But it's incontrovertible that Cam can't figure out what to do about this being the most incompetent franchise in modern NFL history. I don't know what the press corps that covers the Dolphins is smoking, but from today's game it's obvious to me, a fan without any great vision or insight, that:

    1. This team is incapable of scoring any points on offense.
    2. This team is incapable of stopping anyone from running.
    3. This team is incapable of stopping the long pass play.

We have to add a fourth point: This coaching staff doesn't have a clue of what to do about it. In fact, it has made things worse than they were by tearing things down all at once without a serviceable alternative in place. On arrival, Cam let a lot of people go who may not have been great achievers, but were at least serviceable. Carter. Chambers. McMichael. Unreliable and/or over the hill, but they could play some. And don't get me started on Wes Welker, the only player we had who could dependably catch the kind of dink pass that we seem to be forced to throw all the time.

Most of the people Cam has on the field now can't play at all. On top of it, Dom changes the way Taylor plays and trades for Porter, also changing the way he plays. The result is utter confusion that cancels out whatever talent a few players have.

The draft? Ginn is an ordinary-to-good rookie WR who can't seem to get open or be able to stretch the field, and Beck hasn't shown me anything. So what you have today is the stupid formula he announced during the preseason: "Fail forward fast." We certainly have failed fast, but Cam seems to have no clue on how to move us forward. We never should have been in the personnel position we are in now, and some of it is the Wanny drafts, but there's plenty of blame left over for Cam and Mueller. And now it seems as though Cam, the supposed offensive genius, can't even call a game.

I'm sure Wayne will give him one more year; if for no other reason, because he may believe that it has to get worse before it gets better. But in my book, even given the very difficult circumstances he faces, Cam has not exactly covered himself with glory, and has not earned another year. Some semblance of progress would have shut me up. There is none.

Well we had better strap on the head gear extra tight because Ronnie won't be ready for the start of next season unless he has a freakish recovery from his torn ACL...

If one was the GM, what would you or any of us do in the upcoming draft?

Man this season is a bit like the Peter Principle for us DolFans, no matter what happens, there are no lights at the end of the tunnel, no super hero coming off of the IR to save this season, and next year is looking shakey already based on Ronnie "coming back stronger then ever".

If we try to sign Free Agents, they will want a premium to play here, if we look to the draft the best player in the country is a Running Back, and we are told that "we don't need a running back".

    Well, there is always...beer....:ffic:

do we not pick that running back?
do we allow the jets, pats or bills the opportunity to draft him
since they all will have low picks next year.
