Do we go with an Offensive coach again, or Defensive this time around? I liked Cam for the main reason of him grooming John Beck and getting this offense finally moving after so many dreadful years. But now our defense has gone straight to the crapper.

I don't know if this really matters anymore since both sides of the ball are pretty bad.

    thoughts and opinions.

Does an offensive line coach count as offensive minded? ;)

I'll take a head coach minded head coach, who'll bring in coordinators that will do their jobs successfully.

When it comes to defensive or offensive minded head coaches I don't think it really matters. What we need is a guy who can manage his coaches and the team, knows his x's and o's for game planning and game time adjustment; while he is inspiring the players to play to the best of their ability. There is little proof that an offensive head coach helps the offense or a defensive head coach helps the defense. That all depends on the GM and the assistant coaches.

The best way to build any successful team, in business or sports is this. Make sure when you hire your assistants that they are better than you in what they do, and then let them do their thing while you keep them inspired and on track.

I just wished we kept Cam. He had our offense averaging 21 points before everyone got hurt. Bad Move by the Tuna. I hope we keep the offensive minded head coach thing going.

All I know is here we go again changing philosophies and changing personnel to fill that particular thought...
Here's to 2-3 years of rebuilding, hopefully this last draft class fits and it's only 2 years..because that was the best draft we've had in years.
