Yeah this is a little strange seeing as how they've known each other for a few months that Favre could have impregnated Mangini and he came to term this soon but its the Jets and they're all freaks of nature. he's probably thrilled they had the kid mid week...woulda been a bummer to miss it, because he was in the middle of a game or on the road.
Honestly thats just kind of creepy. Congratulations on the baby but seriously....the name thing is just weird.
Hence the point of my post (well half way the other half was to poke fun at the situation). Seriously he has known Favre for around 2 months and you would think there is someone in his family that would have made for a better middle name for him to take from (like his father, grandfather, etc.).
In the article there's a quote from Favre asking if his name was still going to be Brett...sounds like Mangini already had it planned out. But hey...it's a good excuse to hate on the Jets coach during one of the happiest occasions anyone ever experiences in their life, so lets all pile on right?
No one is knocking on him having a child...good for him I just think its weird he "committed" to the middle name Brett as the Jets were recruiting Favre. From the Article: So he does name his children with a name of important people which he has also done with Bill Belichick and Rodney Harrison. So he did in fact name the child after Favre.
with any luck, he'll name his next son after the guy that invented those cart pushing machines they use to round up carts at the grocery store.
