Maybe as another back up, but he hasnt done much of anything great. His one and only game in the 20s was 21 points against GB. He hasnt broken 200yds and his schedule sucks the next 4 weeks (chi, bye, phi, oak)
If Palmer is active then I'll most likely start him against NYJ. I'm just considering whether I want Rivers for Bowe or not. I think AP will have the lions destroyed in 12mins anyways.
I'd honestly go with Ryan or Pennington...AP is going to be running the rock all day through that Lions D. Gus will just manage as usual, don't expect too much from him, he may take a few shots early but not enough to warrant a start IMO.
I agree, but unless Palmer is hurt, I'll still be starting him. I was more or less just checking the FA pool before trading Bowe for Rivers.
Not high on Rivers? He's one of the leaders in fantasy points. And with good reason. Not to mention he plays in a weak division. The only other good team, Denver, has a horrible defense. If anyone can get their hands on Rivers, it would be dumb not to do so.
Ya, he's ranked #6 in total points in my league. I was just a little hesitant bc his last two games were a big drop off from how great he started the season. Basically just making sure his ribs aren't too messed up, Chambers will only miss 1 week and he doesn't have any big problems at OL. I really like Bowe a lot, but having Fitz and Marshall softens the blow.
You would be getting screwed royally in that deal. Don't do it. Even if Young is healthy, don't do it.
You can believe that Rivers will continue to throw 3 TDs a game as he did to start the year but I choose not to. Why? Because despite a good schedule his offense is not healthy, that includes himself. Chambers, Gates, and Tomlinson are all less than 100% and that will simply reduce the offense's efficiency. Fewer opportunities means fewer TDs. I suspect his number will be more inline with 1-2 TDs and 220 yards which makes him a bye week fill-in or part of a QB rotation. Would I have traded for him? Yes, mainly because my only option is Palmer who has his own injury problems and plays on a team that may quit on him. But I certainly would not expect him to be a weekly must start despite his current standings in the rankings.
My assumption was you would start Palmer this week. Frerotte is a decent backup (#16 in PPG average in my league) and has a great playoff run schedule, so I was not looking at this week only.
uh oh. I own him in 2 leagues. FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Browns' Winslow in hospital with undisclosed illness
Geez, I had Winslow and Palmer starting in the same league. And its a 2 qb starter league which leaves me with Flacco and O'Sullivan.
That was my thinking. Only thing that has me a little hesitant is it's a ppr league and Graham is homerun threat, so he can get a lot of points with few carries. I'll prob end up going w/ TJ though.
Qb..K. Orton Rb..J. Jones Rb..M..Pittman Rb..T. Hightower Wr..S. Smith Wr..P. Burress TE..A. Fasano Benched Bn..B. Edwards Bn..L. Coles Bn..D. Sproles Bn..J. Cotchery Bn..C. Perry Bn.. Johnson (bye) I'm 3-1. just thinking I should shake things up a bit and try guys like Hightower,Pittman Thoughts??
I'm assuming Johnson is Chris. I'd say your line-up is alright. Might consider throwing Cotchery in sometime over Burress if you think NYJ is looking at a shoot-out. I'm still skeptical that Orton might fall off the wagon so maybe look to secure that spot with a good back-up. The only immediate thing I would really worry about is Julius Jones losing carries to Morris (think hes back this week). Maybe try to upgrade RB. My condolences on your drafting of B Edwards lol. You must be doin something right if your 3-1.
No doubt, 3-2 sorry... I can't get anyone to make a trade. I just picked up Orton, over Hasselbeck, who was really ticking me off.
