i can only watch dolphins games online because i live in DE and don't have NFL network or anything fancy like that. the issue here is the quality isn't so good (probably my graphics card) and there are three games on TV on sundays. I can download phins games offline so my issue is.. purely a fan morale issue. i'm bummed that I can't watch our phins and overjoyed that i can online though it's not clear... but i love the game of football so i'd rather watch in clear clarity. i feel like i'm letting the phins down but i'd rather watch clear football. is this sacriligous? arhgh! thanks for listening!
sorry but I'd rather watch the dolphins on a etch-a-sketch.......then some obscure teams on hd tv..... jmo
Out of all the games on sunday here as long as tehre is a online viewing option no matter the clarity I watch the phins. They are the reason I watch football lol
I'm in the same boat...we're probably using the same stream. Its rough...but its better then not having any feed to watch. My buddy lives in North Port...I should just cough up the cash for a Slingbox and mail it down to him. He said if I would he'd hook it up and let me stream any Dolphins games he gets. Problem is he usually gets Orlando teams so I am pretty sure he is in the Jacksonville secondary territory and I doubt I would get too many games with that option. I could use my old FTA receiver...but seeing as I work for a cable company it doesn't look too good when I start putting dishes in the yard. I'd just pay for Sunday Ticket and be done with it if DirecTV would allow me to sign up for ONLY Sunday Ticket each year. Hopefully after the 2010 season is over the NFL will offer Sunday Ticket to all the providers or maybe even on the internet as a streaming service.
yeah i do both from time to time but i like to concentrate on the game. it's hard for me to keep two going and one time when the phins suck me in. quality over quantity ya know?
I can understand not being able to get the networks you need to watch the Fins..invest in a better graphics card and do yourself a favor...it still won't be perfect, but better than not seeing them at all... Or maybe go to a sports bar ??
I feel lucky to have the Sunday ticket. I don't care about Directv, but since they have the ticket, I have no choice. BTW, I've got 6 tv's showing 6 different games on Sundays. LOL I actually turned down 2 different apts about 4 months ago, just because I wasn't sure about Directv there, so I renewed my lease here and I'm good here until March when football is over.
i wished i got DirecTC instead of sticking with Comcast. I also have to watch streams to be able to watch fins game. i haven't tried this site out yet but hear good things about it so far and heard its worth investing in during football season: www.streamtvnow.com.
You gotta choose Dolphins. Not calling out your fanhood, but I think most on this board would sooner listen to a Dolphins game on transistor radio than watch any other game on an IMAX HD surround sound screen. I know that's where I stand. I'm guessing you gotta be old enough to go to a sports bar with Sunday Ticket for the game based on your Mortal Combat reference in another thread. So what's the problem?
Also, I should mention that if you know anybody with Sunday Ticket that has the Super Fan package see if they'll let you use their online password. You can watch a perfect stream of the game online if you have super fan. If they aren't using that feature if you throw them a few bucks or a case of beer I'm sure they would let you use their account. I let one of my friends and he says the quality of the stream is amazing.
Now that stinks I guess. I love my FTA receiver. Right now though, all you can do is watch some locals to get games. You get about 8-9 games. Except on box which now gets the entire Ticket on BEV....
i'm old enough to go to a sports bar but i don't have the transportation to get there. i also don't know anyone who has that package deal. or at least i don't know that i know anyone who has that package deal. i watched it last week on NFL.com play by play thing 'cuz I was sick of watching the bad feed but it was kinda boring that way. lines don't make up for players making hits and such. thanks for the suggestions, though.
Are you in a rural area? If not you could always cab it to the game. Might get expensive, but it's worth it to watch this team play. Anyway, good luck to you finding a way to watch the Phins. Just keep your mind open and you'll figure something out!
When I hear people complain about not been able to see a HDTV broadcast I shake my head. After years of watching the scoreboard and listening to internet radio streams I am just happy to see the games even if its not HDTV . There is no reason why any fan should not be able to see the game of their choice on an internet stream. There are plenty of alternatives .
I offered mine up for the season for a case of beer from your local area(I like to try different beers) I got no takers. I don't use my online password since we have 12 tvs on 6 different games on sunday.
