Ronnie. Ronnie / Dan / Zonk tied for all time. Loved Jake Scott, Doug Betters, Zach... but I'm still looking for that one defensive player to crack my all-time list. And also, I loved Mark Clayton in the day and wore 83 in HS because of him. Stevenson, Little, Kuech, Webb on the line... Crash for special teams... ...dang I could go on for a while. To answer the question one more time: Ronnie Brown. It's not close for me.
Brown has been my favorite player since he got drafted. Of course his success so far this year probably dragged a few additional fans his way. CP is my next fav. It's so nice to not have those endless discussions about how bad our QBs are...
Current is a close tie between 1. Anthony Fasano 1b. Sam the HUGE Samoan All time? 1. Zonk 2. Marino 3. Nate the spinning top Moore 4. Jake Scott
Brown by a landslide than in no order (Pennington, Long, Ferguson, Porter, Bell, Greg C, Fasano) Players that have made a difference.
i like the average joes that don't do anything for the team because they show it's possible to sit on the bench and gain an AWESOME paycheck. nah seriously. i have hopes about jake long. ronnie brown is awesome. channing crowder.
Gotta be Ronnie. If I had to pick a favorite. I love them all. In a completely non-gay way. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I've become a huge fan of Chad Pennington as well. I am proud to say I was happy we brought him in from day 1. Despite any past feelings of hatred he was better than anybody on our roster. But I just envisioned him being a caretaker for this team and getting the team through a rough year. That still might be the case, but as of right now he's played great and has us right in the thick of things.
People are missing the point -- Chad's leadership and psychological influence over the players on this team is irreplaceable.... the reason why we don't have the penalties we used to have is because he tells the players what to do and where to go... the reason why we lost six games by three points or less last year was because of penalties and turnovers. That reflects lack of leadership. Penny has thrown ONE interception in four games... that is why we are winning. Do you remember the interceptions for touchdowns with Jay Fiedler, Brian Griese, Jay Feeley, Cleo Lemon, Daunte Culpepper, Ray Lucas, Trent Greene, Joey Harrington, Gus Ferrotte??? They all threw interceptions for touchdowns... multiple times...... This is why we are winning -- lack of penalties, and lack of turnovers...
I remember the announcers on the games saying Greise would march the team down the field like a general, taking a yard at a time. I loved to watch him play. I also loved Morrel. He just stepped in and stepped up. That was some team.
OK well I already picked Greg Camarillo as my guy, but im going to toss this out to you no one has said his name and IM shocked... But we all should have picked this guy... Zach Thomas... for one simply reason.. He refused to Join the New England Patriots during the off season because he was/is/and will always be a dolphin at heart...
Penny. Because he provides the stability in this offense that has been lacking for many many years. Ronnie obviously as well.
Nobody said Chad didn't do any of those things, he's just not their favorite player Don't forget, Jay Fiedler was very impressive with his tangibles here, and had one of the best win percentages among active players until his career, and our team derailed. I guess he didn't have any garlic to ward off Count Wanstedt. I'm still not the biggest fan of Pennington because I miss deep pass plays, I live for deep pass plays, I'm a deep pass play whore, but he is playing very efficiently right now.
Ronnie Right now he is special...Long is closing in for me I like the big uglies.. All time has to be Dwight Stephenson its not even close for me he was COMPLETELY dominant second would be Duhe two guys thats had their careers cut way to short.
