I go to High School. I don't have the luck of getting away with things, I always end up on the wrong end of things for some reason. I hate it. My grades are pretty good I guess, 3.2 GPA through two years and this year so far. I don't cause problems in class, I am talkative like on here but I don't give the teachers trouble especially in this class. My teacher is tight but she has written up people before for being late. She gave one of my friends a referral for being late three times to class. I'm never late but this is cheating, not being late. I'm scared as ****. The only thing I am thinking is that I can't change what happened, all I can do is move on and do my best moving on. I do plan on talking to her if she gives me the time to do so and I'll be honest with her.
Bro sorry I missed this. I was spending the day with my father in law. The email was a good thing. Come clean an admit you gave your so called friend your work. If you have the time, get started on re-doing it with a different spin if you can then you did. Last, don't hang with the so called friend that screwed you. Tell him that you will no longer help him in the future that he is on his own. Let him know that you don't appreciate what he did, and move on.
it won't **** you out of college bro. the only way colleges would hear about it is if someone involved, administration whatever, writes you a letter of recommendation. It also might screw your grade in the class if she decides to discipline you that way, but other then that f it.
Not quite sure what your asking here man. My bad if I'm slow or something lol. EDIT: I don't get credit for things I don't do. I'm not quite sure if that's what your asking. By bangcock, I hope you mean cupcheck because if not then I don't know you guys.
Really? I figure they would look at that. I don't care about the grade, I have an A. It wasn't a big assignment anyways. Btw, what does it mean when it says "Citizenship Standards Invoked?"
1) yeah it shouldn't go on your transcript. and like I said the only other way is if they ask around which most colleges just ask for letters of recommendations they dont do background checks. 2) where did you read the citizenship thing?
yeah i was thinking, maybe you should have just let it go. dealt with the kid and took the 0 on the assignment
Ok so I need a little more info. How much is this packet thing worth for your class? Why do you think your teacher will be able to tell it's yours and not his?
i know your in highschool bro but i mean is it a rich school? i'm having a hard time explaining myself but i think you got my drift........i hope......
My bad, I probably should have said something about this before. She already checked mine and gave me full credit for it. Then my friend asked me to copy it and I said yeah. On Monday, he turned in MY paper with HIS name on it, saying that he did it. He didn't tell me before though which is why I'm pissed because I would have told him hell no. Basically, I got full credit before and now he's taking my work and putting his name on it, making it look like he did it. Its clear that its my handwriting though, it sloppy. He said it looks exactly like his.
Ooo ok. I read it in the Student Code of Conduct. Its worth little, its one assignment. Handwriting is clearly mine. Yeah, its somewhat a rich school I guess.
well your teacher may not notice. teachers go thru a lot of work to correct and i dont think they pay attention to handwriting as much as students think they do...if all else fails, just deny it...say he stole it or something...he screws you, you screw him
what does the exact line say? they might mean citizenship in the country, not sure if they brought you over? or citizenship in the school etc.
uh. my teachers put grades at the top of our papers to keep this from happening. if he turns in a paper with a grade on the top of it i can seriously say that i don't know anyone who has ever done that.
That def changes the situation. Your friend really boned you now with his stupidity. I would tell the teacher that your friend got ahold of your assignment (make something up) and you just now found out about it. That way your covered from any wrong doing and he gets the rap. It pretty much is all his fault so I wouldnt feel bad about throwing him under the bus on that one bro.
Nah, it just says OFFENSE: Citizenship Standards invoked. Its for the County Public School according to the paragraph above.
naw he just has to call it off. she'll wonder what it was about but probably won't have much of a clue. no need to panic.
yeah but if she does find out. he wont be able to explain himself like he was going to...you cant wait till she finds out if you wanna talk to her about it...well you can, but it wont be as good
probably means they do some sort of standard to see if you are worth keeping around. if this is your first offense i wouldn't worry about that too much. that would be more damning against frequent trouble makers.
she finds out id still deny thats what it was about. tell her you wanted to talk about college jesus I got to teach you guys how to talk to the cops to or what..... keep the two subjects seperate. and it shouldn't be worse why would it be? he was going to tell her, decided he might be more screwed that way. I don't see why she would be more angry with that.
o **** bro your fine. Just say you wanted to make sure your grades were ok yada yada you were concerned about how you were doing etc. She'll be like "wow he really cares" and be happy with you.
if cheating is as serious as he says i think she would probably connect the dots(although you dont need the answer book to do that)
Ooo. Damn man, now I don't know what to do. Not sure if I should tell her the truth or just shut up. Because if I'm honest with her, she may let me slide on this. If I don't say anything and she finds out, I'm screwed.
In all seriousness man, have you sent the email yet? If I was you, from the sounds of this, I would just play dumb and act like you know nothing. If anything is ever suspected, that's when you deny any knowledge of your friend handing in YOUR work. At worst, you acknowledge that it went missing, or even if you admit that you showed him the work, deny the fact that you knew he handed in your stuff. Worst case scenario, you lose a friend who seems like a shady mother ****er in the first place.
