I'm glad some people aren't blinded by the circus that is going on with this team right now. Our best bet is to keep Cam, period.
No, we should fire all the players that quit doing their job. Cam showed up every week, even under the difficulty and scrutiny of being 1-15, he didn't quit on us. That commands respect and I would gladly give him another shot. Everyone forgets that these are PAID PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS, they need to act like it.
Cam was incompetent? Don't you mean Dom? Was that a typo? Anyhow, I hope everyone is happy now we have a different head coach and the same Bum defensive coordinator who led our defense to last in the league!
good I hope its Sparano who will be our next head coach, he'll be a great coach. The problem with Cam is that he has none of the players respect. Sparano used to coach at university of new haven here in connecticut and the athletic director and other coaches that worked for all said that all the players absolutely loved Sparano and they said if he asked them to theyd run through a wall for him. Also people that still talk to Sparano from the college said that Sparano himself believes he'll be the coach of the dolphins ( this was as soon as Parcells was hired, idk if anythings changed but take it fpr what its worth)
Bill Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer, Dennis Green were all failures. True they have failed at times, and been great at others - though isn't everyone. I understand what you mean, but c'mon man you've put more effort in than that before.
I think we will see a great deal of turnover in the ranks of the coaches. But there are some guys I'd like to keep: such as Terry Robiskie, Bobby Jackson, Houck (if he doesn't retire), Shea are ones that come to mind. That being said Dom Capers and the D-line coach could have carpooled w/ Mueller on his way out. But, I have to say at least Mueller got us out of cap hell, he bit the bullet on that and I thank him for it. Realistically it gives Bill and his new staff a great deal of flexibility this year and next.
Damn, i mean to tell you the truth i don't know what to do anymore. You can't ignore the fact that Cam lost 14 straight before actually winning one. If he went 3-13 or 4-12 throughout the corse of the year Cam would have his job but the fact is he barely dodged being the only coach in NFL history to go winless. The Ravens blew two chances to win that game which is what saved us. I think our offense got better which we could all see but the every other area of the team went to ****.
Here is a writeup about Sparano you may want to read to get to know him better. Let me introduce you to Tony Sparano http://cowboys.beloblog.com/archives/2006/11/_let_me_introduce_you_to_tony_sparano.html .
Take care of all of them at once....like when Michael Corleone settled all family business in the Godfather.
Don Shula ?!?!?!? Shoes was stolen away from Baltimore, he was never fired, and hence "available". Lest we forget history, the Dolphins had to pay by losing their 1st round pick in the 1971 draft because we signed Don Shula, while he was still the coach at Baltimore.
ok FitM - your credence has me really curious, are you Cam and if not how can you be so sure he's sticking around? I'm not sure if he(you?) is going to be fired, but you have to admit - the writing seems to be on the proverbial wall.....
Cam is 100% accountable for turning a 6 win team into a 1 win team. Almost a no-win team. He is absolutely accountable for the player movement and draft after he was hired. His players don't respect him. That is reason enough for me to fire him.
Why is the preverbial writing on the wall with CAM? There are several reasons that his guy gets a chance under Bill in MHO... However, there is not enough time until midnight to say it all!
There is SOO MUCH more behind the scenes and on the face of this team that would tell you different if would just stop and look... CAM over-extended himself due to the lack of structure on this team in management is #1... Now I can go on but, I woulde defeat my true goal out here... And that goal would to be make people that talk, put up or shut up!!!
That would be correct... I bet that we wouldn't go 0-16. And if you challenged me, you has to sign a dollar bill and mail it to me... And if I lost I would do the same... Well guess what, I have quite a few dollar billls that is signed: "I DON'T KNOW SCHIAT ABOUT THE FINS!" and the signature of the better...
I simply must say something. If Cameron manages to keep his job, we have retained a 1-15 coach who has never had a winning season as a head coach, that may be a cause for jumping jacks and bad prop bets, but it is also a symbol of what is wrong in Miami namely: A-C-C-O-U-N-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y
