What's made this half extra sweet is that my buddy laughed at me for saying the Dolphins may be a good team to take this week with the -6 pt spread. I didn't even say we would win, just that I thought we would at least keep it close. His response was that he thinks the Chargers are the best team in football and Miami is a 1-15 team.

ive reached the point of no return with my love for ronnie brown. seeing the look on his face when he was calling for the snap, that was f-ing awesome. he's having so much fun out there. and SD wants NONE OF IT!!!!

 

Man, coming off a bye week with a huge win over the Pats and one of the younger teams in the NFL for them to be playing this well speaks volumes about what HC Sparano is made of.

I thought we might be a bit sluggish, but we have been anything but sluggish.

We need to get some more sacks Phillip Rivers though.

Ha I loved watching Pennington watch Ronnie, Carey, and the other O-Lineman dance.

To be truthful, I was a little worried we would revert back to the way we looked against AZ

Indeed, for me the change is Chad Pennington, he just made our whole Offense light years better then we were last year.

What a steal we got with him, he just is a efficient Qb something we haven't had for years, maybe 14 yrs...sad but true...

We are up 17-3 against a team that was in the AFC Championship game last year, I'm sort of speechless right now.

Back to back wins against play off teams...stunning...

Man i hope this game is on NFL Replay this week. I have to listen to it... although it's great with Mandich in the booth.

Greg Camarillo is playing a dam good game, and Ginn is actually making an appearance. Get the ball to Fasano more to keep the LB's inside and unable to help cover the flats.

 

Let's not forget our own, Howard Tilly, from the glory days. Precise route running is where it's at!

 

What the Fins can't forget is what San Diego did last week vs Oakland when they looked dead and had that big 4th quarter. The Fins have to stay on the attack both on offense and defense because the Chargers can come back and if SD scores a TD this game will look a lot different. The key is our first drive out of the half if we can take a lot of time that will be good, but a score especially a TD would be huge (but a FG would as well).

That loss may have been the best thing to happen to us this season, we got our butts kicked up and down the field, and we took it to heart and made some serious changes and they have worked.

Sometimes a bad loss is better then a close one, a close loss has no momentum for change in it, a bad one can shake things up if the Staff is any good...unlike last year...

 

Also, what about all the fantasy owners who picked up Ronnie Brown or traded for him, only to whip their remotes in disgust after he rushes 10 times for 27 yards this Sunday? And isn't LTD overdue for a monster fantasy week? I'm glad we talked through this one.

Its weird but if ATL and MIA win today the teams with the first two picks in the draft will both be .500 and above and three of the four teams in the Conference Championship games last year could be below .500 (Green Bay 2-3, San Diego 2-3, and New England 2-3).
