I realize in the social media world today, people respond to shocking titles that promise a golden nugget of wisdom. At the same time though, this is a Dolphins forum where folks have followed this team for 5, 10, even 20+ years.

I promise you that not a single person here thought, "Wow, this mock draft will completely fix the Dolphins, let me click the link to see who they're predicting!"

That's like me saying I visited your hometown and found several of the best restaurants in the entire nation. But once you click my video link, you see that I name Pizza Hut and Subway. What are the chances that you'd ever click a link of mine ever again?

I'm not trying to "beat you up" here, I'm just saying that the gimmick titles work for random YouTubers sometimes, but it doesn't resonate with die-hard fans more than once. Anyone who's posting on a football forum in April isn't here passively; they're here for the community and the real insights.

These are my friends, my brothers, and they deserve more honesty than the title you provided.

I respect that, and trust me, I'm one of them; I've been a fan for over 30 years. Lots of hard work goes into it. I do appreciate the honesty. I hope you enjoy it.

Well since we're being honest and open here...

Look Geo, I have no doubt that you are a fan. You often post your youtube links but Im going to be perfectly honest with you, Ive never watched a single one of them. I completely disregard any of your threads and the reason being, you do not engage here. You do not participate in conversations. You start a thread with a long title, post the link to your youtube video and that's it. It's a "hey look at me" spotlight ranger post.

If you can't engage and participate on this site, then I would ask you to not even bother posting...but that's just me.

I've watched several of their videos, mainly when they have a guest I know on, and it's a pretty good podcast. I do agree though that just posting clickbait titles and not participating in the forum in any way rubs people the wrong way.

For instance, they interviewed Travis a few months back and I watched BECAUSE Travis was one of us for years. He doesn't post here anymore because he's working for the Dolphins, but we all know him as a person and where he came from, how his career advanced, etc. I helped him write his first pitch letter for a paid Dolphins blogging gig almost 10 years ago.

All we're saying is, it's hard to ask us to support your brand when you don't support ours. You can aim for random clicks or you can be a part of a community (on this site and others). If Travis reached out to me today for help, I'd drop what I was doing and help...no questions asked. If he posts something, I watch because I'm proud of him. Everyone that knows him does that.

You could be like Travis...or you could be a guy who posts random podcast links on a bunch of Dolphins forums. I promise you that Travis's path will be a lot more lucrative for your brand long-term. That's completely up to you though.

I agree that it would be nice to see commentary about why you think the way you do after a particular mock draft.

Personally I would use different mock draft sims because you end up with similar drafts each time if you don't. Loading a mock sim with your rankings would be the other option (don't know if that's possible).
