Adam Schefter seems to think it is going to happen..

im actually legit shocked by this that the dolphins are willing to absorb so much dead money between chubb, hill and tua. But i guess if youre going to do it, it has to be on the rebuilding year

I think it's the right move UNLESS a clear trade partner emerges. If we can trade him away while paying a chunk of his salary, so be it. I think the only clear destination would be to the Jets...and I'd be thrilled to see that happen.

Didn't see it as a possibility, but if we can do it then LFG.

Honestly think its career over for Tua. I dont think he will accept a backup role making qb vet minimum and i dont see a single team wanting Tua as a franchise qb.

he has made life changing money, and still has 54 million guaranteed with an additional 3 million roster bonus coming for him in less than 2 weeks.

Time to retire and preserve whats left of your brain

That would definitely be the smartest move if his ego would allow him to call it quits. It has to be really hard to just walk away though after your identity has been football for over a decade.

Longer than that. Think about it. Most of the NFL players have been playing football since Pop Warner, that's 20 years (in Tua's case)

I dont think he will have a choice to stick around as a backup; hes going to get the Tebow/Kaepernick treatment.. teams will stay away.

When we traded Tannehill to the Titans, I KNEW he was going to have success if given the chance. Sitting 2nd string to Mariotta I knew he would.

I don’t get that same sense with Tua. I knew deep down he was going to have a short career. I just didn’t expect it to be as short as it seems to have become though.

COULD he have a rebound on another team? Sure, he COULD but will he? I seriously doubt it.

He is set up for generations at this point. Maybe he gets into coaching if he wants to stay close to the game. If we're gonna do this, then just fkin do it and don't look back. It was a hell of a mistake on the part of Grier and Ross to sign him long term. It was Hella frustrating trying to support him through the years that he was here. It really needs to be done. Hopefully we can move on..."that'd be dope."

Had Grier said no and exercised Tua’s 5th year option, we wouldn’t all be so annoyed over the current cap situation.

At some point, we’re going to have to rip the bandaid off

He’s more injury prone than Tua. I know I don’t want him. At 5’10”, Tua is taller than him.
