The turning point was settling for a FG just before halftime. McD is a wimp.
Chit-canning Grier was a good start, now get rid of the HC that NOBODY in the NFL was interested in except Grier
Get rid of the Tiffany lampshade posing as a QB and get rid of Weaver.
    Start from scratch.

Dig in for a long and painful rebuild. This is what you wanted.

You really think there was a other option than that painful rebuild?

The team has checked out. They're just going through the motions now.

You're going to need a Joe Burrow type of quarterback to turn this around. A franchise type of player. Ownership and where it's headed after Ross kicks isn't going to help. We have no direction, no coach, no GM, and we've hired the thoughts of Troy Aikman to complicate things even more. We're no different from misfortune teams like the Browns, Bengals, or Cardinals.
I'll stand by what I've been saying since I joined this forum back in 2011. We won't be even close to relevant until we find a franchise quarterback.

While I’ll admit having THE quarterback is important, I’ll raise it even one better. What could be more important than having the right quarterback? How about finding an identity!

Think about it. When you think of the Ravens or the Steelers, you instantly think of brutal defenses and a hard nosed running game.

When you think of the Jaguars or Eagles, you think of a balanced offense that can score on you at will.

When you think of the Dolphins, you think of…what do you think of? Who are we? What are we? We have NO IDENTITY!!! During the 70’s, we were a hard nosed running team behind Csonka and a crushing defense. During the 80’s, we were a high flying offense that could score at will. Johnson and Wannstedt attempted to return the Dolphins back to the days of the 70’s with a powerful running game and defense but since then? We’re a rowboat with only one oar in the water. No one, including us know what we are or where we’re going.

Now the Bills, Bengals and the Chiefs? I think it’s been clearly demonstrated lose their quarterbacks and they’re completely done. Their entire teams are centered around a single player rather than the team being the center focal point and the QB being a part of the machine.

Bottom line, until we develop an identity and build around that, it’s not going to matter much who is under center.

I 100% agree. That being said, a franchise quarterback is a shortcut to that identity. A franchise quarterback gives you an opportunity to win against anyone on any day. We've seen dominant defenses get beaten by a Peyton Manning. We've seen high flying offenses get shut down. It's the NFL, this place is crazy. I definitely agree with needing to find an identity, but having a franchise quarterback at least gives us stability.

I was disappointed that Miami quit in the 2nd half. They were playing for pride and there wasn't much left by the end of the game.

I'm also confused; why bench your top two offensive weapons yet start the rookie QB? I almost don't think Miami wanted to win that one.
