The Miami Dolphins have won their last three games and four of their last five contests. The wins – other than the Week 10 victory over the Buffalo Bills – have not been the prettiest victories ever, but they all count the same at the end of the day. Heading into Week 14, Miami faces the New York Jets for the second time this year, and the oddsmakers think the Dolphins will finish the season sweep of their AFC East rivals. The Dolphins beat the Jets in Week 4, Miami’s lone win in the first seven weeks of the season. They have improved from that 1-6 start to now sit 5-7 and somehow positioning themselves on the AFC playoff picture graphic. With a win over New York, they could move out of the role of spoiler and into a darkhorse postseason contender. The Jets are coming off a win over the Atlanta Falcons, but it marked just their third victory this season. At 3-9, New York is not in playoff contention, but they are also moving away from a top-ten selection in the 2026 NFL Draft – currently holding the seventh position. The oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook are giving Miami a slight advantage in this weekend’s game – a spread that feels like it should be larger, but there just is not enough trust in which version of the Dolphins will show up for this game. The line opened Sunday night with Miami as two-point favorites 2.5 points, where it remains on Tuesday morning. The point total is 41.5 combined points in the game. The moneyline has Miami -146 for the straight-up win while the Jets are +124. Kickoff for the game is at 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
I'm happy McDaniel learned that you don't need to throw the ball 40+ times every game. The offensive line has been dominant in the run game, now you arguably have your best one back in Jackson. Keep running the ball. This is how you win these late season games. Hopefully Waller is ready for a bigger workload on Sunday. He looked great in his limited snaps and Tua seems to find him when he's on the field.
The Jets will have a new backup quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. Head coach Aaron Glenn said that Justin Fields will not dress for the game because of knee soreness. Brady Cook will step into the No. 2 role behind Tyrod Taylor as a result. Fields opened the season as the team’s starter, but was benched in favor of Taylor heading into Week 12. Glenn said that Fields reported the knee issue on Wednesday. Cook is currently on the practice squad, so he will need to be elevated on a temporary basis or signed to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday. The undrafted rookie been elevated twice already without appearing in a game this season.
Well it’s settling down a bit. I just saw the 3rd TD drive. Looks like Miami is putting an *** whipping on the Jets. Hope Miami puts up a 40 burger
It's frustrating when the Phins get a couple of scores ahead and then dial it down a couple of notches. Now settling for FGs.
Tua trying to get Jets back in game with that stupid almost behind the line pass and then that should have been pick 6. He is horrible.
I want to see how we function agaist an actual good team before I put any stock into this game, or the past couple wins. I would love it if this team has somehow miraculously turned the corner.
Although having 7 punts against a terrible jets team kinda gives an indication that this offense will be stifled by a good team.
I think we all know the result, once Miami faces a team better than average. Which is too bad, as the Colts seem to have lost Jones and things might actually align if Miami could find a way to 10-7.
O-line looking good today like our running game even without Achane, though it’s just against the Jest. Let’s see how we fare against the good teams down the stretch. Edit: Oh and D is so much improved as well
Who knows maybe we are a QB away from.a playoff team for 2026. I might have been wrong about McDaniel maybe Tua was holding him back.Seems like the best thing to happen to this team was Hill getting hurt.
Nah, that was getting rid of Grier. We’re rolling since then, but his recent draft class ain’t bad and might be one of his best, definitely liked it from the beginning but got sour a little bit because he could‘ve done better.
Fair but let’s see how we fare down the stretch. I personally don’t want to get to giddy because of this really nice Jets clubbing today.
The Jets’ defense is actually pretty good. Folks forget that. It’s the rest of the team that’s so terrible that has them in the cellar.
Next week it's the Steelers, not a great team but, not a real poor team. That should be a pretty good test for the Dolphins.
No. Try actually thinking about what I said, instead of having a knee jerk reaction to things I post. Agaist GOOD TEAMS, many more possessions will be punts. I'm glad you feel like this win means something. Like I said, let's see this against a team with a winning record. The jets have 3 wins. Relax with the aqua/orange rhetoric.
