Miami could run some QB sneaks and bomb some deep passes if Zach has to start. It would at least be interesting to watch, with a faint hope that he somehow turns around his career with better talent and coaching then what the Jets gave him.

I think Anakin Skywalker said it best - NOOOOOOOoooooooooo.

The guy was terrible on the field. Reports from the Jets were that he was terrible in the locker room.

I propose that it is harder to find a worse veteran backup than Wilson than to find a better one. Off the top of my head I can't think of a single veteran QB who would be a worse signing.

Wilson is absolute garbage. Even Sean Payton couldn't make him an NFL QB. Best of luck to you

Is it bad that I misread the title and thought we signed Russell Wilson? I just spent three minutes debating the pros and cons, decided that I didn't like the deal, then felt heartbroken when I saw Zach's name. Now I really want Russell Wilson.

I think some people here are upset because Wilson is very likely going to get some playing time. This isn't a typical backup QB situation. I love Tua but history usually repeats itself.

I have no problem with the signing. No Matt Moore or fitznagic out there anyway.
Might as well grab somebody with upside.
If he doesn't workout just cut him next year

I cant twll you guys just how terrible Huntley and Skylar are.. Zach is an upgrade, its not going to look like Tua behind the line but Zach would have been good enough to manage us into potential victories and kept us competitive.

i wanted mariota, he would have been ideal.. but zach at 6 million for a backup job is good with me.

lets now focus on the offensive line. Because if we want to keep Tua healthy, we have a starting left tackle that always misses games, and our right tackle who is Tua’s blindside is terrible at his job

After thinking about it a while, I like this signing. McDaniel worked wonders with Tua, let’s hope he can repeat it with Wilson!
