Tyreek for DK? https://www.thephinsider.com/2025/3...tle-seahawks-dk-metcalf-2025-nfl-trade-rumors Straight up, I would have no problem pulling the trigger on this.
I would make the trade but just to bounce Hills dumb *** outta here. Seahawks would not make that trade. Certainly not straight across. And honestly don’t want DK as a Dolphin. He’s drama. He’s undisciplined and selfish on the field. He’s got talent sure. But he doesn’t back it up. He could be TO level talented Diva but honestly I see an Antonio Brown future when he is traded
I'd be all for that trade. Personally, I don't believe in keeping disgruntled employees since they don't give 100%. Tyreek wasn't the same after he was arrested on the way to the game early last season. It's like his mindset shifted.
Metcalf would bring something different to the WR group - size. He’s fast, sure (as fast/faster than Hill if you listen to him) but he’s a big dude who usually wins contested balls, something neither Hill nor Waddle do with any regularity.
Not if they go hard after Darnold. You can't leave that guy without some WR help and while I like JSN without DK the cupboard is bare. That said, I doubt they are interested in Hill. The one thing to note is that with Hill, he will be off the team before Waddle's big money really kicks in. With DK, you're gonna need to give him a contract and so you are paying 2 WRs #1 money. It would be fun for a year, but I don't think it's a move that really leads to a championship. So really we should maybe be asking if we'd want to trade Waddle for DK, not Tyreek.
Was before that IMO. Reports from all offseason were that he basically just did his own thing most of the time. No accountability, no leadership, no real interest in the team. Just showed up when he felt like it and did what he felt like. That's after all the baby momma stuff and other incidents. He's a scumbag. He was a fun scumbag for a year and last year we saw the scum outweigh the fun. I'd do what was needed to ship him out, but not sure Grier and McDaniel can/will.
Quitting in the final game is all I need to know to not want him around but it should be remembered that he could have had surgery and just collected a check so it could be worse I guess
Hopefully Grier has learned a lesson, I would never pay again the 25 30 million dollar contracts to receivers, not even close especially with Tua, Tua made Lynn Bowden, Preston Williams, Malcom Perry get playing time. and check this out, Tua got us a 6th round pick for making people think Isiah Ford could play never gain would I pay receivers that kind of allocation.
I think if you have a true elite sub 30 year old WR you can hand out one contract. But the low end elites and middle class WR contracts are getting absurd. The Bengals are gonna pay something like 80/yr for Chase and Higgins and just have practice squad dudes on defense. That Tutu Atwell contract the Rams gave is insane. There are too many good WRs coming into the league ready to play to waste major resources there. I hated that we extended Tyreek even before his crappy season. It just felt like a bomb waiting to explode, especially when you also re-upped Waddle. You won't get the value out of Waddle with Hill around, it's that simple. Our biggest issue is drafting though. We just haven't been able to infuse enough good young talent onto this team to deal with the loss of picks from the trades and giant contracts given out. We desperately need Chop and Paul to rapidly become elite guys and this draft has to be a home run.
I feel a group of receivers that compliment each other is better than too heavy, then you can use that extra cash on the trenches
Lots of people pointing at the Philly D as a blueprint but their offense I think is also solid. They have a big, fast alpha in AJ, a good complement in Smith, a good receiving TE in Goeddert, a high level playmaker at RB and a big, strong group of OL that both run and pass protect. They elevate a non-elite but very good QB in Hurts who can thrive in that situation and gives their OC a ton of options. But then, they draft well and we don't.
If we draft Warren at 13 and get some competent guard play our offense would be very dangerous in 12 personell
I'm warming up to him, just concerned too many are attaching Brock Bowers' success to him. He's a good player, but it's a tough position for rookies. On the other hand, it's a bad free agent group of TEs and a pretty thin positional group across the league. We probably need to draft at least 1. Might as well be Warren.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44184542/sources-seahawks-trading-star-wr-dk-metcalf-steelers Lol Steelers loading up at WR without a QB on the roster. Can't wait for them to finish 8-9.
I mean it's still well under Jetta, and Chase's contract will probably be close or even above Garrett's. It's somehow both a decent value but also wild. These big cap jumps are seeing teams do some crazy stuff man.
