More hyperbole. Just like last year when some said we were in “cap hell” and ended up around $80m under this year will be the same. There will be more than enough cap space for rookie contracts and FA’s to fill the gaps. The question isn’t money, it’s if everyone can stay healthy and if the right players are brought in and picked.

Looks like they'll address the backup situation better, but the problem really is they have too many holes to fill and not enough cap space to fix it. Going to end up with a very flawed club.

I’m worried about Tua keeping himself safe. We were a healthy QB away from the playoffs. He hurt himself and the team by making stupid decisions. Being worried about the draft is reasonable. Hopefully, however, Grier makes some better picks. And the Dolphins need to start drafting a QB every year for the next couple of years even, depending on how the QB picks look.

I wrote in the mains that Dillion Gabriel should be looked at hard. He could probably be had on the 4th round. He’s small, and has the same arm strength as Tua, but his anticipation and toughness is off the charts. His accuracy is lacking, but his scrambling ability is way better than Tua’s. If he could be coached up in accuracy, they may get a Tua clone that is more durable. That would go a long way with offensive continuity if/when Tua does something stupid and gets hurt again.

It’s ok. Everything’s going to be ok.
