Miami Dolphins defense rankings under coordinator Anthony Weaver Total Defense 7th Rush Defense 6th Pass Defense 10th Third Down Defense 3rd Red Zone Defense 4th Scoring Defense 10th

No matter what some folks think and I too have seen them play some bad games,

but I do see scheme improvements and these stats tell me that other teams have lots of bad games too ya know.

weaver on all levels has made this unit into a top 10 unit with two games to go, without his two starting hi level edge players and one rookie animal.

    a 38 year old starting d tackle

Besides Jordyn Brooks a weak linebacker unit with no depth

    terrible safety play.

Top 10 in points allowed, and top 6 in yards against .

well done sir, and I like his sideline demeanor and game day face :)

He’s definitely made chicken salad out of some chicken poop.

He definitely gets not enough recognition imo, he’s done a good job for what he’s had to work with.

    Slightly left of center
I really hope we get to keep him for 2-3 more years to Coach the Defense. Might have to make him an Assistant Head Coach to keep him around. He may not get a shot at a HC job this year but another successful season next year and he's likely gonzo.

Totally agree. Starting defense is not all that good. Safeties are trash. Linebackers are meh. He has done really well.

Yeah, this D could be great next year if Phelps and Chubb come back and somehow make through a year with no injuries. Imagine being able to add Chop after an NFL offseason to that rotation. Get average safety play...

He has done a great job with the talent he has but unfortunately he will most likely get some head coaching interviews.
So not 100 percent he comes back.

Updated rankings: #9 in points allowed, #4 in yards allowed.

We have a chance to end up #8 in points allowed because we're at 20.8 points allowed per game while Pittsburgh is at 20.5. That comes down to allowing 6 fewer points in the last game than Pittsburgh to take their spot. Getting to #7 is difficult because that's a 0.9 points per game difference.

btw.. on offense we're ranked #22 in points scored, but games with Tua starting would put us at #11 with 24.1 ppg. So not too bad there either. We were actually #32 at the time Tua came back from injury lol.
