he Miami Dolphins are hoping to get starting cornerback Kendall Fuller back in the lineup in Week 14 after a concussion sidelined him for three weeks.

"He is still in protocol, but optimistic just based upon conversations with the experts and him," Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday. "Optimistic that he’ll be out there this game, but we’ll see how the protocol progresses."
Fuller, 29, missed a game earlier in the year due to a concussion and suffered a second one in the Dolphins' Week 10 win against the Los Angeles Rams. In his absence, Miami has largely relied on undrafted rookie Storm Duck to play in his place.
While Duck has played well in his rookie campaign, getting Fuller back would be a boost for the Dolphins defense, especially after it lost Cam Smith to an injury Thursday.

Fuller, who was signed by the Dolphins as a free agent earlier this year, hasn't allowed 50 receiving yards in a game so far this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

Fingers crossed. As erratic and the Jets and old man Aaron have been, we could certainly use Fuller back to help Ramsey cover Adams and Wilson.

I won't count on that. They're incapable of taking anything away. I'll take good enough coverage that they aren't burned up and down the field.

Good because we need him. His return will allow Chop and Chubb to create pressure and negative plays.

I’d be suprised as hell if Chubb plays

I feel like maybe Philips came back and wasn't in top form leading to the knee injury. Hopefully Chubb is 100% ready when he sees the field again. We're still alive this year but I'm always looking ahead long term.

I wish they had given Philips more time to heal, but it is what it is

I agree with you. Not faulting Phillips at all, because he seems like a great guy who did everything within his power to get back onto the field, but sometimes you have to protect the player from himself.
